However a few people seem to highly recommend DV-Depot. They are apparently located in Canada so duty is not an issue. The selection and pricing seems very reasonable for Canada.

Sucks big time, not worth the hassle. I'd rather order within Canada and not have to worry about it. Plus, when you order a movie you have not seen yet, how are you to know there is not a scene on it that has some rough sex which may cause them to take your movies. [Link] |

Some of the studios that don't release a lot of titles on dvd (like JM), they go through a distributor so sometimes you have to wait a while for them. But at least you can reserve the title and know when it comes in, unlike other sites that just list them and you have to wonder if and when you will get your disc, it's a shot in the dark. At the depot you can delete a reserved disc if you are sick of waiting for it, you have no obligation to buy it, unlike other sites that once you have ordered it, you are screwed until they get it instock, or you have to pick another title to replace it with.
