I broke down and bought a 2-hour preview disk from Blue Vanities, and it looks like a lot of good scenes with classic stars mixed in with old stag loops.

Some B&W, some color; some decent technical quality, some almost unviewable. The scenes on the preview disk are only about 8-10 seconds each.

Since I'm a fan of several of those 60s-to-80s girls, I'd appreciate a headsup if anyone knows where I might find B. V.'s DVDs cheaper than the $29.95 they charge.

Classic fans should really check out the site.

Moderator, I apologize if this should have been in the shopping forum.

Yeah! I love to see them package like the Swedish Erotica series and have it in the distribution chains. I think they may back tons of money on it before the master deterriates and is gone! Right now you can burn VHS to DVD using a $120 DVD burner settop box. For $200 you can get a combo VCR and DVD burner in one unit!

The way to go is with the computer however so you can do more technical things viva DVD editing software!

DVDs are cheaper, easier to store and keep for a longer shelf life too!

I holding out for the sets! They could make like 10 sets with 5 DVD each and sell them for $50 each!

Thanks, all. Until I buy a burner, I'm gonna have to keep looking.

Experience tells me never to spend more than $10 on a DVD (forget VHS) without really knowing what's on it.

So until the prices come down, I'll hope for a rental option. Judging from the preview disk, they have some great scenes for fans of classic porn (and stars) scattered throughout.
