I'm on an 8x plan been with them a year or so. the DvD's arrive without delay within 2 to 3 days. I send them back usually the next business day, or same. I have did some tests with this I last week waited and shipped 8 back. To my suprise they was checked in one per day, or one every two days, and two is still out since the 27th and 29th. I constantly have this issue with them. I don't understand how USPS can be blamed for the delay if they always arrive to me within 2 to 3 business days without any delay. The delay seems to be on there end not on mine or USPS's end. I'm on the East Coast as well in SC.

Also at the last week and half of every month they seem to start throttling my DvD's as if I breaking there barrier for rentals per account plan. They say they don't throttle, but I'm beginning to belive otherwise, or they are not checking in all the DvD's they receive the same day and throwing other rentals over the previous days. I constantly have to email them about this issue, and have them remove dvd's from the rental history. But's it's just getting annoying. I at least expect on a 8 plan to receive 8 per week. I think I get just as many when I was on the 3x plan.

Also a few months back there was a thread where a employee wrote they had talked over and would be adding 2 disc DvD's to the rental program. Well after months and months of no two disc dvd's coming avialble I thought I would send customer service an email. The response I got was they would not, and have not talked about adding any two discs rentals to program. Anyone have any info on this as well? Its actaully why I stuck with them this long.

Never tried their rental program, but they do seem EXTREMELY slow on responding to Kickback requests. The last ones I sent in took roughly a month for them to turn around on, which is roughly a month minus ten minutes longer than it took XRent to turn around on the Kickbacks I cashed in with them...

I have an account with them and yes, I do believe that sometimes if you send the dvd's back quickly they take thier time sending out the one's next on your rental list as if to say they dont want you to get to many rental's in one month and come out ahead.

JKG:

We do not throttle accounts, hold movies or have any type of barrier as to how many items a plan can get. The assumption that we are delaying shipments or intentionally limiting customers is incorrect. We scan in every movie that we receive every day.

It is not uncommon for multiple items that are shipped back to us on the same day to arrive at different times. If you seach this forum or the Internet you will see inconsist US postal shippng times brought up by customers using every rental site.

You stated "I don't understand how USPS can be blamed for the delay if they always arrive to me within 2 to 3 business days without any delay. The delay seems to be on there end not on mine or USPS's end." - The reason for the shipping time difference is that it is usually a different path from us to a customer, than in the return route from the customer to us. Our shipments get loaded onto a USPS truck and go directly to a nearby hub. They usually get to customers quicker than they come back to us, because customers do not send their mail directly to a hub as we do. We send out thousands of items daily, which allows us to get our mail to a major distribution center much quicker than an individual sending it from a mailbox.

For the past few months we have been adding thousands of movies to our rental inventory to increase our overall availability of rental items. This was the most important update that customers wanted from the feedback we receive.

We do plan on implementing 2-disc items into rentals but just as indicated before, we have no specific date when this will occur. As soon as we have a specific time, we will let our customers know.

I would agree with this as well. My last Kickback took forever to validate and get back.

After my order however, my shipment was here in three days.

I have never tried their rental program before.

Guru, just to ask the question so people aren't bugging cs two hours later (knowing how some people are) how long do you think we should expect it to take for Empire to process kickbacks? Is it something Empire's normally doing daily, weekly, monthly? I'm just wondering because currently I'm waiting from the 2nd of this month and my last request took almost a month to be processed.

Not trying to be an ass, but I'm not on the West Coast, and no matter where I ship from as close as I am to your distribution center they should make it back sooner than the 6-10 day check-in (sometimes longer). I had an account with a company on the west coast previously, and I never waited over 4 days for a check-in most was done in 3. Thats completely across the US for me, and your a few states above me, and saying that it's normal for this.

As far as upgrading the title availbility. I have had rentals in my queue that were new release's at the time they was added, and still can't get any of them. I noticed the only way I can get a new release is wait almost a year then it may be available. May I ask how many rentals per title do you keep in circulation?

Also while I'm here may I ask is there a way to add pre-release's to my queue for upcoming dvd's? I just notice they seem to be "out to customers" on any new release so maybe there getting them queued before release.

astroknight: Kickback's are processed by our customer service department so any questions about when they are done would need be answered by them.

JKG: Please send me an email indicating your account username. We will investigate any problem that you feel you are experiencing.

Regarding availability there are many factors that determine which item you get, such as which priority method was selected? Was it First Available or Highest Priority? Where in your queue is the item? Is it #1 in your queue? I would need to see your account to answer any specific questions about a title.

The number of items that we have for each particular title depends on how many customers have that item in their queue. There is no set limit unless we are unable get more from the producer or it is a discontinued item. We constantly bring in new movies to meet increased demand for an item. Don't let an item's "Out to Customer" status keep you from adding a title to your queue. Every day we evaluate what's in our customer queues. We have added over 15,000 DVD's to our rentals department since January 1st, and we will constantly add more.

Pre-release items can be added to your queue, just like any other rental item.
