For some reason, the banner on my blog is all screwy and it's making me very sad. It used to fill the full upper screen while her leg sort of dangled over the edge (in fact, you can see the very bottom of her toe underneath the shrunken version -- almost as if the original is still there underneath). Wtf. The lady who designed it for me is not responding to me emails, so ADT is my next place to plead. If you can fix it, I will give you temporary access, and in return for fixing, I will review your favourite porn movie in my next set of quickie reviews. :) Serious technerds only please!
Try messing with the height on the templatemo_menu_wrapper. it's 51px currently. I think it needs to be less. Also the top margin on templatemo_menu_panel ul. I changed it to 4px and that helps line up the ankle portion of the upper leg. It's causing the UL to be pushed down. There is also a discrepancy in widths of various container DIVs. Some are 1664, others are 1060. I think this is causing the header to not properly line up with the outer-wrapper DIV.
This is like a foreign language to me. I'm gonna try though. Worst that can happen is my blog will disappear though. It's worth the risk. I'm going in...
Well, I changed the things suggested, and it didn't make any difference on my end. :( I have no idea what I'm doing though. Thank you anyway Drew. I know you're very busy. If anyone thinks they can fix this back to how it was and wants to try, I will give you access to the template. Email me: gor.gor.gal@gmail.com Or PM me. Either way.
I'm way out of practice, but if nobody else can do anything, I'll take a shot. I used to style my personal site, but never cared for blogger's way of doing things. Another one of those things were it seemed they tried to make it easy, and by making it easy, made it crazy difficult.
I haven't used the Blogger service so I'm not familiar with their interface. Do you have direct control over the source files for CSS and HTML? Or do they generate it all for you?
Yes and yes. You can go with one of their canned designs or go with one of your own. You can see/edit the HTML directly. There is some Blogger-specific stuff for handling commenting, for instance, and other features. But it is user-editable.
Ok, so thanks to jayo Gloria Leonard's leg is no longer cut off. As in, jayo did enough fine work to enable the blog to stay live without me cowering in shame from such an unprofessional appearance. A heartfelt thank you for your troubles. However, it is still a mere ghost of its former (bigger) self. It's been a while -- I'm throwing out the challenge once again. Who knows, maybe some newcomers, or johnny-come-latelys, or renewed members are blogger experts and will complete the project for me? Anyone? Here's the the blog link again.
