I have third-party referrers turned off for this site (in NIS) and it's been working flawlessly for a while. The site also posted an error message when I tried to create this new topic. However, I don't know how it happened. Do you know what link you were clicking to try to get to that forum when the problem occured? The link you clicked was incomplete. (It had a forum_id but no cat_id and possibly no topic_id in the URL.) I suppose there should be a better way to handle these errors but it's really not supposed to happen. It looks to me like you clicked the New Topic link from teh page at this URL: https://www.adultdvdtalk.com/forum/forum.asp?forum_id=16 I'm not sure how you got to that page. (Did you edit the URL in your browser directly?) The proper URL for that forum is https://www.adultdvdtalk.com/forum/forum.dlt/forum_id=16/cat_id=3/316.htm [Link] |

I'll occassionally get a forum topic that will not load and my cpu usage jumps up to 100%. Could it be someone's avatar? (doubt it, that group is filled with the usual suspects) could it be one of the advertisements? If I close IE and disable IS I can get into that group. I haven't changed any settings since the usual referrer problem. I blame Symantec as the problem has occurred on two different networks. Perhaps Live Update changed something?
