The only check that I write every month is my mortgage payment. That's because the bank that holds my mortgage won't accept an electronic payment unless they come get it out of my account on the same day every month. I prefer to send them the payment instead of having them come get it. Since paying the mortgage throught Citibank would cause Citibank to write a physical check to the bank holding the mortgage, I would prefer to do it myself and include the payment stub from the mortgage company.
