| dumblonde Senior Member 2352 Posts 7/00 | I suppose Ted Bundy could be described as "energetic" - Please don't think I'm making judgements, I'm just curious. It's a legitimate question. Am I wrong to be concerned about the escalation factor? |
| BIGmike B-I-G-m-i-k-e 2335 Posts 3/01 | I certainly hope that this is not a stepping stone for more violent adult films. It doesn't matter if they are just actors acting, someone will watch this and think, gee that looks like a good time, then go out and do it. People aren't always smart, sometimes we can be downright stupid, we do crazy shit. I'm not worried about those who watch this film, I'm more worried about those who imitate this. I am not passing judgement on anyone here who may like this, but I too want to know what's next? After the appeal of this film is over, are you gonna go stronger, say real rape films? Or are you just gonna give up on porn? It's a drug, and you will probably want to go even stronger and stronger... ---BIGmike, over and out!--- |

its ok to see two Pretty Boys,Getting drilled by a Strap-on in Gay movies(forcefully)in some scenes by women or Men,but as soon as a Women is shown with fake kechup on her throat the whole world stops. just saw Valintine the other nite,a Girls throat was slit, but that was Rated R......ect....ect.....ect Porn to me,is no longer about Love.....never was...its about shock value....who can top who. how many co*ks can we stick in the girls Butt, how deep can she suck, how many can she fit in her mouth. Porn is plain a simply a shock fest of choices, you got the anal Members,Oral members,Lesbo Members,GangBang Members,Extreme sex members. so pick your prefrence, depending in what mood your in. | Whiplash the suave incubus Member 112 Posts 6/01 | Why does everyone seem to assume that people who like rough porn always want to push the limits further? I haven’t seen Forced Entry but I’m quite sure that if I will I would use the FF-button during the killing-scenes. Let those who want the combination sex and violence have it. Vanilla porn has 97 % of the market and it will remain so. |

| BIGmike B-I-G-m-i-k-e 2335 Posts 3/01 | Six Feet Under But I don't listen to this everyday, nor would I want to. But I do listen to these bands to pump me up for a workout, since most of these guys are tall and strong I'm not saying no one should watch Forced Entry, if you like it, more power to you. What I am saying is there are a lot of sick indivisuals out there who will watch this, provided that they get their hands on a copy, and not be able to seperate fiction from reality. I'm not worried about those who enjoy rough porn or this movie, but porn and violence shouldn't mix, is all I am saying. I love violent (Hollywood) films, the more violent the better. I also know the difference between what is real and fake. I don't like violence in porn, those two should not go hand in hand. Porn is made to make you feel good, if you watch it for the violence, what's the point of porn. I used to like Extreme a lot, but Rob Black and Lizzy Borden and Zupko are too far gone. Plus they are too arsty-fartsy on their films. Camera tricks=bad, black and white with color thrown in=bad. ---BIGmike, over and out!--- Edited by - BIGmike on Mar 29 2002 |
| Phallusee Deactivated User 61 Posts 9/01 | As always, dumblonde raises an interesting question (great reviews, by the way, you are the John Simon of porn criticism). Certainly, porn is similar to horrror films in that they are taboo-defying, envelope-pushing genres. A brief survey of horror films over the years is enough to see they've gotten more graphic, more shocking, though they have leveled off and watered down a bit since their disturbing 70's heyday. This specific kind of porn (Black's freak shows) are obviously a similar dead end. They wear their artifice on their sleeves, and although the girls in the films might be pushed a little far, they tend to focus on slasher film histrionics. Lame. The truly sick stuff is the gonzo type minimalist porn where the object is to degrade the girl in the scene, period. That's closer, in spirit, to snuff than Black's barf bag, fake blood circuses. Watch the unedited close-ups of girl's eyes rolling up in their heads as cocks are shoved forcefully into their mouths in 'Gag Factor'. There's no music, no set up, no artifice of any kind. Just that tight shot of a young woman being pushed farther and degraded more than she probably expected. That's the dark heart of porn. And though I never forsee actual rape or snuff being marketed (lets face it, these are business men, not social anarchists) I do forsee that verite degradation aspect being pushed further such as: interviews with the girl's parents, post scenes of the girls tearfully trying to get back their signed releases, full of remorse, etc... Cheers!

| Darkmage Member State of Denial 328 Posts 11/99 | To answer your question, Dumblonde... YES. You should be worried about escalation. BUT... you shouldn't be worried about the people who watch this sort of thing. Sexual crimes of this nature are self-selecting. Those who commit the truly vicious sex crimes use porn like we are discussing as inspiration. There are several documented cases of serial rapists using S&M porn as a script for something they do in real life. However, you have to realize that these are the worst 1% (probably less) of this kind of porn's audience. People who commit these kinds of crime don't do it because they watch violent porn. They watch violent porn because they're the type who commits these kinds of crime. To illustrate this concept, I'm going to pull some numbers out of thin air. Let's say that roughly 50% of the population of the USA watches porn at least once per month. Of those 50%, all of the serial killers in the USA fall into this category. Granted, you're talking about maybe 100 individuals. Of those 50% of the USA, let's say 10% are into the role-playing, leather & masks porn. Degrading, not-quite violent but definitely rough porn. Including about 80 of our friendly whackos. Of those, Let's say 1% are into the really heavy stuff. Choking, piercing, whips, hardcore pain and simulated rape porn. Including probably about 40 of our truly dangerous people. It is the professional opinion of people who study these types of people that while they mostly have an interest in S&M and domination porn, even without the porn they will still commit crimes. The worst you can say is that porn will make serial offenders more creative. You can't say it will make them less vicious. If you're interested in knowing more about this, I recommend reading Obsession by John Douglas. He is the FBI agent responsible for the Serial Crimes unit in Quantico, VA. He's put out several books, but Obsession deals exclusively with sex offenders and their victims. In short: there are monsters in the world. But they are not created by porn of any stripe.
