You've probably heard about the whole DVD X COPY lawsuits and stuff. I was thinking of getting DVD X COPY PLATINUM until 321 Studios lost and had to put out a "ripper-free" version which doesn't decrypt CSS-protected movies. I could no longer find the "ripper" version, at least in retail stores (or at least a reasonably up-to-date version) However, seeing as most/all adult DVDs say that they "work on all regions" I was wondering whether it means that they're CSS-encoded for all regions or just don't use CSS encryption at all. If they're not encrypted, that means that the ripper-free version would be good enough. Note that I'm strongly opposed to piracy! It's potential piracy that led the MPAA to bring this lawsuit to begin with. [Link] |
