I've been wondering about this and decided to ask here in case someone knows.
You've probably heard about the whole DVD X COPY lawsuits and stuff.
I was thinking of getting DVD X COPY PLATINUM until 321 Studios lost and had to put out a "ripper-free" version which doesn't decrypt CSS-protected movies. I could no longer find the "ripper" version, at least in retail stores (or at least a reasonably up-to-date version)

However, seeing as most/all adult DVDs say that they "work on all regions" I was wondering whether it means that they're CSS-encoded for all regions or just don't use CSS encryption at all.

If they're not encrypted, that means that the ripper-free version would be good enough.

Note that I'm strongly opposed to piracy! It's potential piracy that led the MPAA to bring this lawsuit to begin with.
But this piece of software, if it could be used, would be very useful for:
1. Making backups of your favorite DVDs (rather than hoping that, if your DVD is damaged, the title is not out of print)
2. Most importantly: Imagine making your own compilations of your favorite girl's best scenes! These would be much better than lame compilations such as "So-and-so Exposed"! Given that people often buy DVDs for 1-2 particular scenes or a particular girl, it would enable them to extract such scenes out of several DVDs to make great compilations.

Sorry, Dick, but this topic is not permitted here. It's long standing policy not to allow discussions of methods of copyright infringement or the ethics thereof. There are plenty of other forums and information pages on the internet for this sort of information (try Google).
