I've been using xrentdvd.com but wondered if there was anything better....bluedoor.com is mainly vhs.......

I've been using netdvdflix.com for months- Great selection !!

I also used the A LA CARTE option once from gaydvdempire.com but they don't have a lot of selection...

I've also been looking for a good online rental service for gay DVDs. I searched the web high and low and here is an overview of what I came up with:

I eliminated any service that rents primarily straight movies because their gay selections were usually pathetic. I looked at the cost for having 2 movies out at a time, as well as having 3 movies out at a time. I also looked at the selection for 3 of the most popular studios (Falcon, Kristen Bjorn, and Titan).

Boy Toy DVD
boytoydvd.com
2 out: $25.95/month
3 out: $36.95/month
Falcon: 9 movies
Titan: 1 movie
Kristen Bjorn: 5 movies
Overall: Price seems a little higher than others, and selection is fair at best.

Macho DVD
machodvd.com
2 out: $24.95
3 out: $32.95
Falcon: 1
Titan: 21
Bjorn: 31
Overall: Price is a little less, and selection seems a bit better unless you're really into Falcon.

StudFilms
studfilms.com
2 out: $15.95
3 out: $21.95
Falcon: 0
Titan: 0
Bjorn: 0
Overall: The price is definitely the lowest I saw, but the selection is terrible. Seems like they mostly carry budget stuff from studios no one has ever heard of.

Gay DVD Empire

2 out: $19.95
3 out: $24.95
Falcon: 63
Titan: 54
Bjorn: 40
Overall: The price seems reasonable, and the selection is good in theory. Unfortunately, it seems that most of their titles have a LONG waiting list so who knows if you would actually get any of the movies you want.

Overall: Seems to have a great selection, including some hard core edits that you usually can't find at video stores. But the website looks like it was created by a 14 year old back in 1993. And the prices are way higher than any other site I found - almost twice as much in fact.

Bottom line is that there doesn't seem to be an online rental service for gay DVDs with a great selection at a reasonable price. If anybody knows of one, please share.

I use xrentdvd when I rent because I like the system and the service (timely delivery and ease of return and you don't have to join anything on a "per month" basis). But the selection is just too limited. So I suffer and buy more often than not and then sell or trade when I get bored.

I think there's a ready market out there for some energetic entrepreneur, if someone like that is monitoring this board.

You can get a coupon code for NetDvdFlix and it goes down to :
Monthly fee: $14.99 to have one DVD out at a time (with coupon code), $19.99 to have up to two, $24.99 for three.
I used the coupon months ago and it works fine...
I know... the site is badly design but the service has been fine, they answer your emails with problems and questions very promptly... And NO, I don't work for them! ;-)

Wow! That's a great coupon. Thanks for the tip! I already signed up for a month at Gay DVD Empire. I've supposedly got a couple Kristen Bjorn films on the way. I'll let you know how their service is, and I'll be sure to write some reviews of the movies too. :)
