Ok, so here's a DVD coming out over the horizon that I can get excited about. I've been a big fan of Chi Chi's LINK series, and BOLT looks like it might follow along the same lines.
Check out the Deluxe Hardware pack, on 3 DVDs, which comes along with a Giant BOLT dildo and travel case!
Looks like if you pre-order, you can get the Hardware pack (with dildo) for the same price as the plain 3 DVD set version.
I decided to go ahead and pre-order this, in case there was some limited number of the Hardware packs to go around. I can't believe how much shipping was! The cheapest option was almost $12! I suppose that has to do with the fact that they're shipping a big, metal dildo. I wonder if that's even going to be comfortable? Anyway, here's another pic of THE BOLT:
I'm not a big fans of dildos so I'll save up to order just the plain O'LDVDs

It doesn't look like it has any flexibility to it, so it probably will be uncomfortable for many people. I won't bother ordering the deluxe package, but I will get the dvd.
By the way, has anyone here ever met Chi Chi Larue? What is he like? I would love to meet him someday because he is from a small town (Hibbing, MN) just down the road from me.
yeah, I think I'll just leave it out on a bookcase or something. You know, as a conversation starter...I met Chi Chi briefly in Madison once, where she was doing a strip show thing with Chris Steele. She sure has a filthy mouth, that's for sure. Very nice,though.
There is a trailer for Bolt online on channel 1 realeasing website... It's not much... there is no sex shown, but it looks interesting, very much like the LINK series...

I am rather concerned, though. Looking at the TLA site, there are 3 versions of BOLT, a regular cut, an expanded cut, and a director's cut. From what I can tell, Chi Chi's own site is only selling the regular cut and the expanded cut. I sent an email to them tonight to try to straighten this out, but supposively, BOLT ships tomorrow, so it might be too late for me. If I end up spending this kind of money, and still getting an edited version of BOLT, I'm going to be PISSED!
Ok, I just got off the phone with Channel 1, and here's the deal. Only TLAVideo can sell the director's cut (195 minutes). If you buy direct from Channel 1, you will get the 3 hour expanded cut, which runs 182 minutes.
The director's cut contains watersports (looks like Tag Adams getting pissed on) as well has some heavy butt play. So, if you want the completely uncensored version, you have to order from TLA.
Luckily, Channel 1 hadn't shipped my BOLT yet, so I was able to cancel, and re-order from TLA. And if you are on TLA's email list, they just sent out a coupon good for 10% off a $50 order, which certainly helps. Only bummer is now I have to wait until 10/15 for shipment.
I've changed my mind on this radically. I used to think the 'expanded cut" was just a gimmick to get us to spend more money than the already exhorbitant sums we spend for gay porn. And I used to think that most of the time the "expanded cut" just wasn't worth the extra change.
Now I wouldn't buy anything else BUT the full, expanded cut. And it looks like they're now going to a third tier--expanded cut AND director's cut. I wonder if this is now going to become the norm. Oh well, sign me up for that too, I guess. What else do I have to spend my money on?
Well this is a sad day. I've just cancelled my order for the Bolt Hardware pack. It's just been getting way too many bad reviews for me to drop this kind of money on it. Maybe I'll end up ordering the dildo seperately some day... :(
I just saw Bondo Gods 2 and while it is almost entirely a bondage flick, it has a scene where Kent Larson uses a steel ribbed dildo on tattooed punk Dax Savage's asshole. It looked just like the one in the BOLT package. I have to say, watching that major piece of cold metal being rammed in and out of Savage while his arms were tied up and he groaned and moaned just got me going. Something about the unforgiving nature of steel, I think. Or maybe it was just Kent Larson.
yeah... I was also not very impressed about BOLT... It had everything to become a classic but it just didn't work. I'll give it another couple of views and I'll probably sell it :-(
