So she's come up with another book. I got the first. And I read it thru. Can't say that about every book I been into. In fact Asa Akira is a rare act. She's one of few that didn't start to ever bore me. Most writers I been into checking out can't wait many pages before they start a process that will see me going into sleep.
Has she been on a hiatus? Haven't seen new stuff from her for awhile.

I read something in some news some half year ago that she said she's 30 and that she's peaked doing hardcore and can't peak another time. That's what athletes never say. That's what they should start saying.

Like I said, good article but things like that always bug me in mainstream articles about porn.

Yeah Vice's porn coverage has always been half assed but this article is a big improvement because it isn't trying to be all 'punk rock' about porn and treats the performer with respect. In general Vice UK does a much better job covering sex work. Another thing the article gets wrong is claiming that anal was 'getting big' around the time Asa did her first anal when we all know anal has been big in porn since the late 80s. Socially it was also becoming more common long before Asa started doing it on camera. Overall though hopefully the article reflects a new unembarrased earnestness in Vice USA's coverage of porn. On a long term she'll be fully capable of writing and do it well and probably never have to deal with bullshit when it comes to sexdetails. I hate books with sexdetails and you know it's just there to prove the writer still has something running the veins. Akira has a proven track record no writer around can keep up with, from veins to whatever, so now they're all destined to shut the fuck up and remain silent for a very long period of time. If porn has an expanding impact, Akira one day may rule the world in writing books and Il'l be glad to be longtime fan. If you're 30, there are some closed doors anyway. That only means that others open up.

Wicked pays well as a Contract girl (over 6 figures) and she doesn't have to shoot as much. To make that much money doing Gonzo porn, scene by scene, is hard on the body ,even if you love doing it. It takes a lot of scenes these days to get to that income and even the stars are not getting that much work. Can't fault her for taking this route and it has given her time to do other things in life; as well as enjoy some very lucrative feature dancing gigs. She is also the one porn performer who legitimately does not escort (no matter what is offered under the radar), so a reliable contract is the best choice. I don't like condom porn either,so I have literally purchased one Asa flick with Wicked. But, she has a huge back catalog so I always have scenes I can go back to when I need an Asa fix. She is a great performer. The one I saw saw was great; but if you don't like condoms in porn, it will affect your rating of the scene. She also doesn't do the kind of sex acts she would have done in gonzo. A DP for wicked pictures will be different than a DP she does with Mason or Jules Jordan or someone like that.
