Just saw the AVN Awards on Showtime. It was pretty entertaining. The jokes were no less funny than at the Oscars. Loved Jenna Haze's dress. Tory Black and Sasha Grey were clearly both very excited about all those awards they got. Oh, and I liked Jessica Drake much better as an interviewer / hostess than as an "actress," go figure...

Always fun to watch on Showtime but boy did they cut the hell out of the show. I enjoy watching the comedy skits but they took those out of the broadcast this year. I understand they have a time constraint so that is why they cut out awards like Best Comedy this year and edited down some of the speeches.
I do think it is great though that Showtime airs the AVN Awards because it brings the event directly into the living rooms of people across America. Once again I am hearing from people from my past that I have not heard from all year because they just saw the awards on TV. X-Play has also seen an immediate spike in sales of Not the Cosbys XXX after it won for Best Parody and I am sure that other companies are seeing the same thing. That is good news for us and the industry so I tip my hat to AVN and Showtime.

The part where she showed up while Evan Stone was being interviewed and the look on his face when he saw her was priceless. Along with the attempt at revisionist history.
Need to watch that again just to see if Syren shows any reaction.
