So I ended up having to crop your head out of a bunch of pics I shot that night. Also, since I had no idea who you were at the time, my superficial self spent a good deal of time mocking your mustache. I definitely ate crow when I finally put a name to your face and saw your work online. I particularly enjoy your no-flash approach to convention pics. [Link]

That whole thing was a disaster. Nothing I hate more than shooting step and repeat stuff and doing it for 3 hours is madness. Thats why I showed up at 8pm this year. Shooting conventions without flash is pure laziness. As soon as I upgraded my camera to the d700 and got a started shooting with the Nikkor 24-70 2.8 two things happened. 1) I was able to shoot in much lower light and 2) My gear got super fucking heavy. So when I am shooting stuff for hours I try to keep the flash off as much as possible even if it means I miss a lot of shots and have to shoot at 2000 ISO sometimes.... Oh, and I have no defense for the mustache but I probably just shaved my beard and thought it would be funny to rock for the porn awards. Glad you liked the shots...
