They also spoke of a list of 100 greatest gay videos published in their October gay supplement. I've found a number of these videos (in fact, almost all of them) by gleaning the information from several online retailers who have made mention of the list and promoted their inventory accordingly; however, I have been unable to find the list from AVN. It would be cool if studios checked out this list and used it to determine which movies in their back catalog to release on DVD. They could put a big gold sticker on the case saying "One of the top 100 gay films of all time!" on them.  [Link] |

Can someone check my list for accuracy and supply the missing 2 titles? Also, was the AVN list in any specific order or did order have no meaning? Not having seen the article, I'm very curious. I've searched the AVN site but cannot find a reference. If anyone knows of a link, I'd appreciate it being posted. (But I'm not addicted to porn or anything like that ... ) Additionally, any of you gay porn mavens out there want to nominate a few of your own favorites with which to expand the list? ~ GaySatyr [Link] |

It is the first to have synch sound (not dubbed) and is filmed in flawless color, with beautiful scenic background when outdoors and a quaint barn setting indoors. Starring superstar Dean Chasson, and 6 more J Brian 'Golden Boys' this stands up amazing well given the limited equipment we had and the period in which it was shot. By far J's best effort, the editing and directing are excellent, the performances outstanding considering the limitations of the period. This is the break thru film that made gay film more acceptable. Based on a 1960s best seller of young men fooling around while playing cards, this will always be a timeless classic. What did I do on this film? I rented the equipment, from Fantasy Records (CCRs label}, had a financial interest, did the gophering, and helped in post production. As everyone knows J Brian is a one man gang when it comes to film making, so he did virtually everything else. Even the sound and lighting, although there was a person assigned for these functions. It was shot with 2 cameras, neither of which were top of the line, and its amazing that J brought the sound off with such poor equipment.
