The presence of Melanie Coste in a "best performer" list is a joke. She's as dead fuck as they come.
Probably Wicked distributes her flicks in the USA and they decided to bribe AVN to put her on the list.
The fact that she's there in place of Dora Venter, Ashley Long, Carmen, Olivia del Rio or Sandra Russo is simply ridicoulous.
If they wanted to put a french chick at any cost, then choose Delfynn Delage, for god's sake.

Michelle Wild definately! The most beautiful goddess in porn. No one comes close to her looks and she always steams it up. Even when she has to work with Steve Holmes. I kid the pornstars! I'm just envious of anyone who gets to work with Michelle.

But CJ, how could you say she is a "secret"? I would hardly consider her a secret. I think I've seen as much chatter about her than any other euro star in the past couple of years. But maybe that's because I'm looking for it.

Monica is always on my favorite euro list along with Rita. Monica's filmography on IAFD shows 19 new titles for '03. I'm sure there's more. So she certainly worked her pretty little ass off. Maybe a new category for hardest working pornstar - female.

what has Wanda Curtis done to deserve anything more than a nomination? Just curious. She use to be my favorite but I kinda went limp on her.

Doesn't Niki Belucci deserve to be on the list? Or is she a best new starlet candidate?

I guess I say she's a 'secret' because she's not widely known by people not "in the know" about the business. All you hear from casual viewers are the Vivid contract girls (old ones at that) and maybe now, Taylor Rain and a couple of other chicks who have appeared in Shane's World Campus Invasion movies. Ah, but if the WORLD only knew about Wild.

I'll agree with you there. I call it the Britney spears factor - marketing muscle and the appearance of talent = $uccess. If you can get enough glossy posters into the video stores and then you own all the porn PPV outlets, chances are your talent pool will get the most exposure.

Yes! In the past at the AVN show there have been a few times that there has been a tie. Best Actress - Film
2000 (tie) Taylor Hayes, Jekyll and Hyde, Vivid Entertainment Group & Raylene, Artemesia, Vivid Entertainment Group. Also, Best Film 1991 (tie) On Trial, Vivid Video & Wild Goose Chase, Evil Angel. I am sure there are more but here a few examples. So cross your fingers and hope.

I've gotten more "replay value" out of Jane Darling and Anastasia Christ than anyone else, but that's probably not how this thing is decided.

As to Lucy Lee and Michelle Wild both winning....I know that gold medals have been shared at the olympics, so there's always a chance. Lucy is fine by me, but I don't get the Michelle Wild craze that's sweeping the internet. It's interesting how she enjoys a kind of concensus on here. Everyone says that she's grrrreeeaattt. As if you're all looking for almost the same set of intangibles (that she possesses). Okay. Enjoy.

I wanted to really like Katja Kassin upon first seeing her, because she has the look of awesome potential, but either I haven't seen her in the right movies or she just doesn't do it for me. Alicia made a big splash with her initial romp in R.Y.Melons2, but my interest has gone elsewhere.


Isn't Anastasia Christ a Euro? If you prick her, does she not cry out in a Euro accent?

I think "replay value" is an excellent factor in personal judging. Jane Darling is certainly a frequent replay for me. Something about the teeth that keeps her from being a total babe. But she is great for whack factor. As for Michelle, I don't expect everyone to get off on the same look. I think that's what this thread is about. Everyone making a case for what appeals to them and building a concensus that supports the overall choice.

One thing that I'm glad to see from the list is the overwhelming choices of natural tits. That's what keeps the foreign contingent at the top of my playlist.
