I love Sasha Grey and Bella and all, but I lost interest in this like 3 years ago. I see it as a big fuck you to the fans. That's what I think personally. It's probably all shot in Full Frame, too, like the rest of Bella's stuff so it'd look funky on an HDTV. Just my 2 cents.
On Bella's site, apart from the new title, there is even a release date : April 28, 2010, and this note : Summary: A collection of classic never before released Sasha Grey scenes from her early career in porn.
This is one of those movies that still has me puzzled because I'm trying to figure out exactly what Sasha did in it that we somehow haven't seen her do in many other since this was filmed? I stopped caring about it when the people behind the movie stopped caring themselves.
There's no reason the sex scenes shouldn't be good. Not sure I need to see Tony T., or Lockwood, really ... but I'm sure the bear suit came in handy.

Sasha Grey came onto the screen a while back, gorgeous and dirty as they come, it was very encouraging. Seeing such a beauty take cock in the ass so deep had me buying DVDs purely to see more of her. Tom Byron and Jean Claude Batiste had the means to give it to her good and they did, and I was buying. Soon enough, it seems she was snatched up by the "pencil dicks" for a while and gradually crossed over to the mainstream. Jay Sin had her in a scene that caught my eye, but seeing that it was a lesbian scene, I went the rental route. When I saw that Sasha had performed with Brian Pumper, and the scene was about to be released, I have to admit I was a little excited. Now that I have seen the movie, I will definitely not be buying this DVD...it is some of the worst material I have ever seen. The scene with Brian gaping her ass doggy style was so dark and butchered with camera filters (or something) that it was a total waste. Even the RCA scene with Sasha's legs spread wide and Brian's cock penetrating that smoking hot ass-pipe failed to do it for me...there's no color in the scene. Sasha's feet were not captured well during the anal, and that is a shame. The scene with her and Steve Holmes and some other forgettable guy had her feet so dirty, it was a total boner killer. Belladonna is only good at compartmentalizing foot fetish from anal. She is continuously trying to be artsy fartsy in a Bohemian/emo/Goth style that ends up being really annoying as far as I'm concerned. It's free on the net, and that's what it's worth.

Word up! Brian is a competent performer. Belladonna is obsessed with being brooding and deep, with little regard for my desire to see Sasha's beautiful skin tones. Calling me silly is like saying a clown is funny...but I did see the presentation to which I refer. Having seen enough to know, I am very sincere in my opinion. If you watch the movie, you'll likely agree that it is seriously lacking color and the Brian Pumper scene is basically a silhouette at times. 2 brooding- 3a to dwell upon gloomily.
I didn't call you silly, but what you said was silly. You're posting in a thread with hundreds of posts detailing and discussing the artistic intentions behind the film and you're saying that it's 'brooding and deep', which shows that you apparently missed the memo (i.e. the 200 posts in this thread preceding yours), and panning it for not using more flattering aesthetics (again, the missing the memo). It's just silly.

^Calling what I say silly is like calling what a clown says, funny. I have read the prior posts, but as of now, the movie has been released, and I have commented on what I have seen. I believe in my heart of hearts, what I have said. Congratulations to Belladonna and her artsy-fartsy porn, but I am speaking for myself as I declare it is disappointing to see Sasha, in all her beauty, so poorly lit at a time when her ass-pipe should have at least been visible. If Bella wants to do fuzzy, colorless stuff...that's fine. My comment is a reaction to her portrayal of erotica, which she continuously transforms into gloom. I respect my elders....and The MELVINS rock.
I dislike Belladonna as a performer. Her name is on so many videos that don't appeal to me that her name on anything makes that video much less attractive. I might eventually watch it, after everything else Sasha has ever done. Her name sells videos, but selling a Belladonna video is a tougher challenge.
I watched this piece of crap. I wonder if Belladonna wants to ruin Sasha Grey by associating her with this junk, or has really hit rock bottom and wants to cash in on whatever she can. i think belladonna is being a hater to a degree. i can understand it though, cuz SG lied and said she'd always do porn no matter what type of mainstream success she found, and she honestly isn't a very talented actress- she is always flat and dull. she only does roles where she's basically playing herself. and she lied about it all the whole way along. so personally, i think it was an appropriate re-title. i concur, fuck sasha grey!
I don't think SG has stopped doing porn. I suspect the money's insanely better in mainstream, especially these days. The funny thing, I just realized ... file in under failing upward. This DVD has come out at exactly the moment wider interest is going to spike because of the Entourage gig. And as far as I know, right now, the only new stuff with Sasha is the Malice in La La Land feature, which may not even have a US distributor yet. And titles produced under the Grey Art imprint, which I haven't heard anyone talking about, although I assume they;re being distributed.
I don't think that mainstream pays insanely more than porn. It's true that the stars make a shitload of money and if your show is popular enough then the secondary actors also make a decent living but I'd say that most actors need at least one more job to make ends meet. Since I'm not exactly sure what Sasha's part will be in Entourage then I can't say at what level of pay she will be. I think it's great for her but I wonder if you can ever really leave your porn past behind. If Sahsa manages to do that then that will truly be a sign that porn is becoming more acceptable, but then again does anyone really remember Tracy Lords for her acting in a John Waters movie or her roles one TV?
Well, back to the movie in question - I thought there were some interesting ideas which were questionably executed. For example, while I'm not averse to lighting and texture being used to set a mood, the intent of the director is called into question when the camera does a closeup of, well, darkness where genitalia should be. That is to say, if the intent is to set a mood then the camera should stick within the context of the mood. Even if the cameraman didn't get the message there's no excuse for the editor leaving in pieces that don't fit. On the other hand, I loved the animated teddy bear, though I thought the scene needed to be tightened up considerably. I loved Sasha the pet, though, again, the lighting was questionable. Overall I have to say this was a confusing opus, at best. While I can appreciate intent, it rates only a C in execution.

^ I hated the animated teddy bear, they are never to be trusted alone with children. They must all be destroyed. As far as lighting goes, we are talking about Sasha Grey here, it is a sin to be a "professional" and not capture such a priceless gaper when the time comes. You don't always get a second chance.
I agree with you. I'll add that it won't require her to watch what she eats before the scene and is not going to give her anal warts. I look forward to seeing her in Entourage.
I found the lighting in a couple of the scenes to be a little poor but that's about all. The movies biggest problem is that there is nothing in this movie that we haven't seen Sahsa do and do better. If it had come out when it was first made then the general opinion might be different but I'm glad I streamed it online and not bought the DVD.
