just a random question pop in head - definitely with its every growing fan base porn offers many benefits which means be realized. So an open question to all. I watch it daily 2-3 hours before going to sleep and it seems to bring very pleasurable sleep
They say any excercise increasing your pulse for some 30 minutes a day is good for your heart. My favorite sex/masturbation session is about that long.

Two scientific studies that I have chosen to live my life by. One was a German study that said that men that look at bare female breasts for 30 minutes each day live longer than men who don't. The second was one that said that watching porn where there is more than one male with a female causes a male viewer to produce more sperm than usual - the natural competitive instincts and all.
For me, the benefit of watching porn is that I get to enjoy beautiful women who are way, way, way out of my league. Porn allows me to enjoy my sexuality to the max by having sexual fantasies with multitudes of incredibly hot women. Porn gives me that wonderful pleasurable outlet that I don't have in real life.
I think porn helps many men to maintain a positive attitude towards women, despite their personal problems with women, such as separation, divorce, and dating problems. In countries where porn is prohibited, such as Pakistan and India for example, personal problems between men and women often lead to violence against women much more so than in countries where porn is allowed. Pakistan is famous for its honor killings of women. And India is famous for its bride burning. In porn you get to like at least several women and not just one woman. Which naturally translates into a more positive attitude towards women in general. I think this is true for me, and it's true for many other men too.
^ No, I didn't. I thought you were acting like everyone knows those representations (not just in porn) are not accurate. I understand now. [typo] Edited by - Gore Gore Girl on 8/13/2012 1:02:09 PM
For the vast majority of men porn is the way to get sexual gratification without begging some woman for sex or get into the risks of STD. Guys involved in faithful monogamous relationship are also dependent on porn, these are the cases where the woman feels comfortably settled and there is no need for sex anymore.
^ Yes, watching porn and masturbating to it allows many men to stay single and be relatively satisfied with it. But whether this is a good thing or not is debatable. Some people would say that substituting porn for real sex and for real relationships is like taking artificial drugs to be happy, rather than trying to achieve real happiness in life.

It's a good thing. Some of us are just losers in the eternal game -- and it is a game -- of boy meets girl. Without porn and masturbation, I would have spent my entire adult life with next to no sexual gratification. Prostitutes and strippers are not only expensive, but, when you look back on the experiences, make you feel like an even bigger loser :(
^ I have to disagree with you about the prostitutes and strippers. Whether they are expensive or not depends a lot on which country you go to. In some countries, like Thailand for example, they aren't expensive at all for someone from USA. I've been there and I've met some Europeans and Americans who got married to some of those prostitutes and strippers. And for the most part, they seemed happy with each other. These were mostly retired Europeans and Americans living in Thailand. And they've staid with their Thai wives for many years, which is a good indication of marital satisfaction. Because in Thailand, the woman doesn't get a lot of benefits from her guy, when she gets divorced. The guy has little to lose in a Thai divorce. He stays with his wife because he is satisfied with her.

I see a few benefits to porn but they are outweighed by the negatives in my case. I only get into porn every now and again as I can get a little obsessed with it, not in an addictive way but it can be time consuming and I have to manage the situation, as i'm sure many others do. As mentioned its a plus to see these stunning chicks doing stuff you couldn't dream of, it can be intoxicating but in another sense the way porn is today almost feels like cheating life. Its not needed. Guys that couldn't get chicks in the old days before HD visceral porn and survived so this thing about needing it as a substitute doesn't sit well, its like giving up on real life. It think its great fun as an occasional pass time but I don't think there is anything good about living through porn, imo

There have been numerous studies showing that increased access to porn is strongly related to a decline in sexual assault. So to answer the question of the "benefits of watching porn": For society there is a decline in sexual violence making it safer for women. For man watching porn there is a safe release for sexual tension helping reduce even further the small minority of men whose sexual frustrations might lead to violence.
People used to survive without refrigerators and electricity too. Knock yourself out. I have always known porn is a convenience. It's one I have no intentions of giving up. I didn't have porn in my teen years. I've lived with and without it. My life is better with porn. Edited by - randomprecision on 8/15/2012 8:52:43 PM
I took this question to a number of female friends in a civil manner and to a number of their friends too. Thanks to Facebook in this endeavor, but surprised to see that over 80% women have regarded porn as healthy. A number of married women responded that they rather keep their husband hooked to porn then give him an opportunity to find another woman.

WOW Kezza you masturbate to porn, Me and you are different in some ways. I don't masturbate to porn because 99% of porn turn me off and I find it so boring because I am very fussy about porn. I only I like to watch REAL SEX not fucking FAKE PORN SEX.
^ Katvena, if most guys admit to jerking off after watching porn, I don't see why it's a problem if a girl is doing it & feels good about it. Each person has a way of living his/her sexuality...
I do think porn helps a lot in this way. We live in a world of social conventions, where the average guy finds it very difficult to get the girl(s) he desires (as opposed to the animal world). Porn gives a solution (though virtual) to help guys cope with this situation. But the other side is that today we have been having extremely attractive girls acting in porn movies and we, guys, watching such beauties doing all fantasies we like, no longer get turned on with average girls and can be missing opportunities with average girls in real life.

I think there is big misunderstanding here. I never said masturbate to porn is bad. I was only pointing out me and Kezza are different, but there is nothing wrong in that.
