I'm not sure what criteria you are using, but as someone who's been to several cities in Brazil more times than I can count, I can say that Brazil is a latino as, say, Colombia or Venezuela. Why do you say that?

Well, there is a geographical definition( or as you will, a dictionary definition) of latino and then there is the de facto definition, that says latinos will have to have a hispanic background in order to fall within the the definition of latino. We're talking of ppl with a different kind of music, food, language and culture than Brazilians. Granted, the geographical definition will say, that the Brazilians fall within the definition of latino but it the de facto one they don't. Brazilians are the only people within latin america who don't speak spanish and they're proud of it too. I never heard a brazilian say that they see themselves as latinos, they shall tell you they are "brazilians". Actually, from my experience they are quite offended if you consider them as latinos. just ask them for yourself: you say you have been to "several cities in brazil", then you should've known better...that is, if you were hanging with the higher strata people on those trips of yours....

By the way, my connection to Brazil (other than the woman I'm going to marry) is with the Catholic University in Rio (PUC), the University of São Paulo, and the Escolar Superior de Guerra (the equivalent of the U.S. National War College) so I wasn't there chasing Copacabana whores, like you implied. OK, OK, I did once, but who can blame me. Brazilians speak Portuguese (another country from the Iberian peninsula) because the Pope divided South America among the European powers. In any case, that was centuries ago, and that fact is overpowered by people that live, trade, share common pop culture together. They are all part of the same political bloc, too. What a Brazilian "considers" himself is an expression of nationalism, not of any differences there may or may not be between his country and those from which he is trying to distinguish himself. You are demonstrating unassailable ignorance when you say different music, different food, etc. Sure, you can get feijoada every Saturday and wash it down with a caipirinha, as those are typical fare. But to say that you can't get any other type of latin food is silly. Pop stars from Argentina and Peru are on all the billboards, the soap operas follow the same format. There's a high degree of mixing. Again, you have no idea what you are talking about. None. Everything you said so far is false. I challenge you to walk down Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, and then tell me that Brazil is not a latin country. You are making a lot of assertions that would seem more or less reasonable to some one who does have a very great understanding of Brazil, but are totally contradicted by reality.
Lela Star - I used to really dig Lela Star. She always brought a lot of heat to her scenes. She is still attractive but I just do not like the new boobs and the apparently permanent Botox lips. Isis Taylor - I'd like to see more of her but she really has a great look. However, I honestly have not seen her perorm enough to know what kind of heat she generates for me. Alexis Love - she always gets me going and I think she has a fantastic set of tits. Sandy Sweet - I guess she is a Latina. OMG!!! Lana Sands was supposedly Afro-American and French/Vietnamise I think. Dana Vespoli is definitely Thai/Irish. Isis Taylor looks really good at times. Jenevive Jolie as much as I hate to give her credit since she is so sketchy about black dick has stolen the show on in more than a few flicks. However, Adrian Sage(2000) has them both beat because she was a GODDESS!! At times Rebecca Linares makes every one else look average. Again I have to give it Adriana Sage. Never beleived she was Mexicana/latina though because her of beautiful facial features (nose/cheekbones) are so afro-centric. I have always felt she was Carribean/Latina perhaps Cuban or Dominican with those big ass cheeks and slender waistline . . . see Adriana with Jake Steed in Freaks Hoes and Flows when she went by Alana Moreno (1999) or with Voodoo in Bottom Dwellers of Rosebud productions (Summer 2000). Didn't think/know that Alexis Love was Latina. Also thought Zeina Heart was a Canadien of South Asian or Arab descent. My definition of Latino is : South American, Central American, Carribean or Mexican descent, Not Brazilian, Not European (Spain,Portugal),be Spanish speaking or have Spanish ancestry. Can be white, brown (usual), or black (like a Sammy Sosa). Some definitions may be more or less strict. Just my take.
Latina does include Brazil. Its early use included Napoleon in reference to the Romance language speaking territories in America including Portuguese and French. Technically Cajuns and Quebecois/Arcadians are also Latino. Its politically acceptable to refer to Brazilians as Latino as a generic term. What is not acceptable is to call Brazilians Hispanic. Hispanics more specifically refers to those of Spanish colonial decent. All Hispanics are Latinos but not all Latinos are Hispanic.
