-Your order was already processed and shipped. (Some people work on the holiday.)

-Your credit card was previously authorized for the amount of your order only, they couldn't add more $ to it and therefore your additional item would be processed as a seperate order.

- Their shipping costs are based on weight. Your extra title would have caused the package to go into the next higher weight group.

-They use an external fulfillment company. Your order was already processed and sent out for fulfillment.

I think the subject of your post is a bit harsh considering the nature of your request. While some stores may have accommodated your request without hesitation Action-DVD's response is completely acceptable. Would you expect Amazon.com, Buy.com or any mainstream sites to honor this type of request? I highly doubt any mainstream sites would have. Why should an adult site be slammed for doing the same?

I got a email back today tell me the extra dvd wasn't ship.

A promise wasn't keep. and the company didn't even offer to ship the dvd free after making a promise like that.

That tell me ACTION-DVD.com well not go the extra mile to please the customer.

It sounds like Drew's last example may be the reason that you had a problem. With many fulfillment systems, once an order is sent to the warehouse, it is very difficult to make a change to it. If you placed your order during business hours, it is very possible that your credit card was authorized and and the order was immediatley sent to the warehouse to be shipped.

The fact the the woman that you spoke with said that she would add the title says that what you were trying to do wasn't against company policy. It just sounds like she wasn't able to accomplish your request in time.

If Action DVD had screwed up the order as you initially placed it and then wouldn't do anything to fix your order, I would agree that you had a valid complaint. However, in this case, they were unable to accomodate a special request that you made after placing your order. I would cut them some slack on this one.

Please understand that the stores represented on ADT monitor this site regularly. Many stores used to provide special perks for ADT members. Once in a while some stores would throw in an extra DVD (like the VCA sampler discs), give a free shipping upgrade, etc. It's gotten to the point that these tokens of appreciation have begun to be expected instead of appreciated. Now some people have the sack to bitch about a store not giving them something for free. I'm not just talking about MrDVD. I've gotten similar feedback via email from a number of ADT members and from a few stores as well. Maybe the stores created their own beast by offering perks in the first place but it's certainly not appropriate to expect businesses to constantly give away stuff for free.

Not only is your complaint unreasonable, posting 'BEWARE OF ACTION DVD ' like that gives people the impression that they are somehow disreputable. There are many people who won't bother reading this thread, all they will see is that negative 'warning', and it sticks in their mind. Please consider how YOU would feel, if it were your business.
