So much for stepping out the box and trying to erode out discrimination I mean, I grew up on the East Coast, Down South, and the Southwest. I lived around military families all my life, my family has police detectives. I've seen all types of people, I've seen some really attractive people that have the "alternative" look. Tattoos and non-traditional fashion has become negligible to me when I judge a person's beauty. Only really bad artwork turns me off, I can find attractiveness in almost every person. Some of the most reserved people I have met, have tattoos. They just have them in places you have to get real personal with to see. Heavy makeup is persistent in our society, just watch anything on tv or film, you never see proper aesthetic realism. You dont see that in porn either, in fact, porn is more like escapism, those hot supermodels and housewives you never will encounter in real life, you hope someone in porn can play a substitute, as well as the "girl next door" you hope to romanticize one day. BTW, if fake breasts are done right, they are about as 85% as good as real breasts. Katrina Jade has good breasts, Karlee Grey has good breasts, Alison Tyler, Holly Michaels, Kelsi Monroe, Marley Brinx, but I doubt they ever pop up on the site because they dont fit "the mold". And my diatribes will never cease if they still employ Flash, Rob, Isaiah, and now Joss and dont cover them in makeup or make them wear ridiculous sweaters and robes [Link]

Everyone's different, but I personally don't define myself by my hairstyle. In fact, I would go as far to say it's not even the tiniest bit of what makes me who I am. Unless I'm going somewhere fancy I basically ignore my hair, but like I said, everyone's different. I'm sure there are others that do define themselves by what style of hair they wear or something else. Just speaking personally for me, I don't put a lot of stock in outward appearance and don't have a set style I tend to use to make myself stand out from the crowd so to speak. For others, they may take great pride in the way they dress, what tattoos they have, their make-up, etc. Nothing wrong with that at all either, I'm just stating that there's a lot more to a person than what they look like on the outside and it's hardly something that 'makes them "them".' With that being said, I still don't see how porn (especially Lansky's BLACKED venture) isn't akin to mainstream acting, modeling, performance art, etc in regard to playing a role/character on screen that many times is different from who they are in real life. Didn't Carter Cruise play a character named Kate in her showcase that was very much unlike her real life self? How is some of the girls wearing specific clothes, lingerie, make-up, etc that fits the character/role they are playing any different? We can even go outside of BLACKED and look at the many porn parodies that have transpired where the actors wore wigs to more closely resemble the character they were playing. How is wearing glasses in a secretary or teacher role any different? How is wearing pigtails in a schoolgirl role any different when they normally don't wear their hair like that? Eye contacts? I've seen those used in porn as well as well as mainstream entertainment. Body paint? What about when roles require the actors to lose large amounts of weight or gain large amounts of weight? Voice acting? Requiring the actor to use a voice they wouldn't normally use. Prosthetics? The list goes on and on. I think it's fine to object to this whole wig issue, but only if you're not going to cherry-pick this one circumstance and call it out in all avenues. Either that or there is genuinely a disconnect with regards to viewing porn in a separate (dimmer) light to the likes of other more 'accepted' forms of art. Lansky is a director and just like any other director, he's also an artist. Asking him to limit and restrict himself to the most rigid of parameters because you want every actor only depicted as they are in real life (at least in outward physical appearance) with no room for any alteration is akin to allowing Picasso to only paint what he sees with no wiggle room for taking artistic liberties. How boring would that be? I, for one, would like to see Greg's full artistic vision unfold on the screen without any pandering to differing opinions (right or wrong). The worst thing that could happen would be if BLACKED started catering and acquiescing to every little complaint lobbed it's way. As I've already stated, I don't believe physical appearance (especially hairstyle) is the end all be all of 'being naturally who you are' as a person, but I digress. I don't think there's any way to prove one way or another that it wouldn't impact BLACKED's subscription rate if Lansky were to not cover up tattoos and the like.
