I think Peta and Brett wanted to shoot for Blacked, and that's why they shot for them, not because Blacked offered so much more money than anyone else. It's like when Riley Reid said she wanted to shoot her first anal for Tushy instead of Jules or Mason because she felt like she'd be more comfortable there. I always imagined that BLACKED pays pretty comparable on the first IR scale. But I also think their name also helps "sell" them to starlets. Let's be real. The IR game has changed significantly within the past 5-7yrs. Back when Jules was digging deep in his pockets, line someone already said, 4,5 crossovers in a good year. Thinking back to the Jenny Hendrix, Amy Reid, Jenna Haze days. To me, for whatever reason, IR became more profitable and commercially appealing as the content shrunk. It doesn't get talked about but the flipside to this "IR golden age" we've entered is the disappearance of content within the genre. Big players like JSI/JSP, EXP, Evasive, Elegant, Hush Hush, Voyeur. That's to name a few of the top. Some of them might still produce but nowhere near what they did. I bring this up because in the end, the ladies are still competing for jobs. Even in something as selective as IR it seems. Blacked is Top Dog, shooting with them raises profile no matter how you look at it. So if post is comparable between BLACKED, DarkX and Jules, why not go with the one with the most shine? Typing this up makes me respect Jules, man. He'd tried to give the fans what they wanted within this fucked up ass system. 5Gs....that had to be brutal. I always complained(lightly that is) that JJ dvds were always the most expensive. But I'm glad I bought a couple back then. As a black man the whole more $ for IR sticks in my fucking craw. You can talk about the businesses all you want. It a argument that's been had too many times before. But the only way it'll get changed is by people speaking up and taking action....*gets off soapbox*

Personally, up until about 6 months ago, I was a big fan of Blacked and didn't have much interest in Tushy. However, since I purchased a Tushy membership for the first time back in February (and have kept it since), I'd now describe myself as being more of a fan of Tushy than Blacked. I haven't been a member of Blacked since December and, quite frankly, I don't feel I've missed out on much (except for that Elsa Jean/Rachel James/Syndey Cole 3-on-3 scene). Thinking about it, I guess one of the reasons I've had this change in attitude towards the two is that Tushy seems to be more gonzo whereas Blacked is more vanilla and the sex itself tends to be slower/duller. Plus, at the risk of sounding like Instant Classic, the guys on Blacked aren't always up for the scene; it's kinda hard to enjoy the blowjob portion of a scene when the girl's sucking on a "droopy" dick. Don't get me wrong, I still like Blacked and plan to come back eventually (maybe when another one of those discount offers comes around), but for me right now: Tushy > Blacked (Especially now that Tushy is, for the first time ever, releasing a scene featuring a black girl.)

I call Prince, "The Power Button", if I see him in a scene, I cut the power. I don't enjoy his work at all and something about how things went south with he and Jessie Rogers, I just felt he was bad for business. He is like the Shia Lebeoff of IR porn. Directors and producers force him down our throat ad I applaud Blacked for refraining from booking him. Every time I hear a female talent say they love working with him, I lose respect for their work.

And as to why Blacked stopped working with him, I'd argue that if you pay attention, Blacked skews younger in terms of the male talent they use, in addition to the female talent. I'd have to check, but I think Flash is the oldest male performer they use on a consistent basis, and even he's 35 according to IAFD, which makes him a good 10 years younger than Prince. I'd also argue it's part of the reason you don't see Lex or Sean on Blacked as well (except for group scenes in Sean's case).
Eh, I don't think you can really put a patent on that generic glam look. The formula is so simple. High quality photography from meticulously lit stages + very generic, plain white vanilla backgrounds. It's a "less is more" approach really. They call it "glam" or "elegant." I also would not wager that X-Art was the first to try this either, with all due respect. They've succeeded in establishing their brand, so good on them. I won't hesitate to concur that the visuals of Blacked must be influenced and informed by predecessors. But the same must be said for virtually all content producers. Anyway this issue has been brought up before. And what's holding back X-Art from capitalizing in such a huge way as Blacked has by launching their own IR specific site? Nothing. Lansky and co just beat them to the punch. The real credit we must give Lansky and his backers was committing to this idea and investing heavily in it, from upscale locations to scouting new talent, and especially to scoring exclusives. That costs a lot. They risked more, so they stand to benefit more. They deserve their success. So remember, when accounting for their success, the visuals are only half of the picture, so to speak. But does anyone remember when Amazon tried to put a patent on presenting products with white backgrounds? I wonder how that worked out...

Don't know him, just know the impression I am left with and in this industry, impression is reality. You cite age and I don't doubt that's a factor, but Prince is not an attractive man. He may be as strong as Magilla Gorilla, but he is not traditionally handsome and Blacked is trying to cater and appeal on all levels. Younger men with younger girls does look better, but the guy that worked with Brandi looked like he was well into his 30's if not early 40's. Lex doesn't come off as sophisticated and Sean, is just plain old. Unless Black delves further into mature women, we won't see any of those gentlemen working with Lansky. My guess is Blacked doesn't want to be associated with abusive men.

Thanks for the laugh. Not only is the male pool so small that it's easy to any performer one of the top black talents, the fact that fans aren't crying out for more Prince, (The Living one) pretty much sums his popularity barometer. Not only did he steal Slayer's look, he was at least a decade late on the fashion craze. Blacked has done quite well without him.

I don't know abut Maxxx, but Brian and Marcus lied. They weren't "abusive." Deen was extremely popular among women before his ex (and others) made allegations against him, and the black men in the industry don't go nearly as rough as him anyway. He then begun "courting" Kendra Lust another infamous dodger in their view , and he once again was helpful to her by interacting with her and literally flirting with her on twitter. Now the watchdogs become really, really pissed ,enflated and blow up, from then on a shitsorm of "disappointed" fans appeared , criticizing him everywhere for anything , actively trying to prevent him from working , making sure every site shooting IR know what they think about him, sometime for silly and laughable reasons Sounds familiar?
Actually, IIRC, the same situation happened with Brandi Love (the being friendly and flirting thing) before either of those two situations happened. This was around 2013-2014, and culminated in them ending up on set together (but not in the same scene) and taking pictures with each other and tweeting them, which managed to get some people really pissed off.
Lily Rader is only following 50 people on twitter and two of them are Greg Lansky and Joss Lescaf (male talent from Brandi Love scene). I think Joss recently thanked Lansky for the scenes they shot together. Perhaps a Lily Rader scene is coming soon?
Yeah I noticed that too, but I always thought exclusive just meant that the girl's contracted to shoot interracial scenes only with blacked.com for a certain period of time. But thinking about it more, exclusive might still apply if it's the girl's very first interracial scene, which it would be for Lana. So yeah I guess it might not be her, unfortunately. Prior to that, my first guess was Riley Reid.
