I agree that Skye Blue might be the best Blacked scene by far this year, but I have to look back because I don't remember some Blacked scenes as far as January or February. And I'm 100% on the side that its the performers right to choose and nobody should be made to do something they dont want. However saying your not attracted to specific traits is fine but saying your not attracted to an entire race is at its core racist whether you intend it to be or not. My rational behind this is (and I'm just using black people as an example because I am black myself but I think you could apply this line of thinking to any race). If you're not attracted to dark skin that's fine but not all black people have dark skin. Look at Wesley Snipes and look at Steph Curry. Both black men but they fall on completely opposite sides of the color spectrum. If you're not into kinky/nappy hair that's fine. While this is very common in black people we dont all fall under this category either. I personally have curly hair believe it or not. I have a cousin whose hair is also curly. Dont like darker eye colors. I have a niece with grey eyes. Both her parents are black. I've seen black people with thin lips, and I've seen black people with small noses (I and my mom are two of them) these traits go against traditional stereotypes. As far as the issue of sex goes If a woman has reservations about a black man's size, well, even though we would hate to admit it, not all of us are huge. To be honest I used to be insecure that I wasn't 10 inches long. I still think I could use more girth but come to terms with length. An ex once told me that its fine because I'm only 5'4" and my legs are so short that if I had a 10 in dick it constantly be dragging on the floor. (Not relevant but I always thought that was funny). And if you're not talking about looks but instead personality then thats even more problematic. I guess the stereotype is that gangster/thug personality that you see constantly portrayed in rap music. We are not all like that. I've met preppy black guys, emo, punk rock types, the preachy religous types, quiet reserved types, super friendly for no fucking reason types, stoners, skater boys, and nerds. I once read on Candy Manson's twitter that she wont work with black guys because they aren't her type, she is into goth guys. Ignoring the fact that I doubt every guy she has ever worked with has been goth, why is she implying that black guys cant be goths? Sure its rare but you never know. They are out there. There are all types of us out there. And to be fair black guys arent the only ones who act like thugs. That shit was all the rage before pop culture switched to nerds and depressed people. The point is there is no one trait fits all. We are all different. To sum it up you can say you are not attracted to certain traits that are stereotypically attributed to certain races and be fine in my book but to completely rule out an entire race people is a problem. It implies that you believe that everyone of that race is the same. They all look the same or act the same or think the same and that is a racist way of thinking. You dont have to hate someone to be racist to them. Having any type of preconceived notions about someone strictly based on race is racist. The hateful kind is not the only racism its just the one people get most outraged over. Sometimes the person being racist doesn't even realize they are doing it. Thats why its important to talk about this stuff. To actually open up and listen to one another and consider each other's point of view and feelings instead of just bitching and yelling at each other trying to get our points across. So for the pornstars and people in general who think this is okay. To me it is not. I'm not saying your a bad person. I'm not saying you hate certain people, I'm not even saying you are a racist. I'm just saying you are perpetuating a racist way of thinking whether you intend to or not and should probably consider what it is that makes you feel that way about that group of people and whether that reason is valid or can be justified for labeling the entire group.
