Reading through this thread, it seems there is quite a bit of differing opinions when it comes to blacked.com. I would like to throw my opinion into the mix, and see what others think. I have quite a bit of constructive criticism that I am going to throw out there, some of which has already been mentioned in the thread. In no way am I trying to be disrespectful to the people who produce the site, I just want to get my ideas out there and see what people think. First off, it is well known that the female talent that is secured on blacked is the best that has ever been seen in IR porn. That is not even up for debate. The lighting, camera work, and camera quality and resolution is second to none. The male talent that is used is very good. There seems to be great care taken in pairing the proper male and female talent together. Based on my understanding, the general consensus is that blacked.com is making the best and most popular IR porn in the business these days. So, with all of these great attributes to this site, what are my ideas for improvement.....many. I will say this, I have been a paying member of blacked in the past, and had to cancel my membership because, quite simply, the scenes just became boring and mechanical to me. When watching a scene, you are fully aware that it has been completely planned out from the beginning, is being highly directed, and the performers are just playing out according to the script. The film cuts from one position to the next, creating a sense that you are watching an over edited version. This takes away from any illusion of reality from the scene. I know what I am saying here is nothing new, I have seen others on this thread make the exact same comment. I also understand that there are many, many people out there that really like this style of IR movie making. They seem to think that it takes the feel to an elevated level of artfulness, and takes some of the "thuggish" or "racial" elements out of the sex, just focusing on the sex, and not necessarily any "racial" themes. All of those opinions are perfectly valid and understandable. Furthermore, I would not expect the producers of blacked to want to change anything that they are currently doing that has led to the success of the site. Here, though, I will propose maybe a new idea to move blacked ahead, in a direction that can hopefully satisfy some of the criticisms, while also keeping the current fans happy. I would like to see blacked add another "category" to the site. Similar to many of the other sites out there that have different themed sites under one umbrella. This category would be more of a "gonzo" type of film making, focused more on capturing real, undirected, unedited sex between the performers. Possibly take some inspiration from sites like "teens love huge cocks" on the reality kings network, or maybe "myveryfirsttime.com" on the 4K network. Both of those sites have very little script, its just the real girl paired up w a real male performer. Or at least that is the illusion that they are able to create. The scenes have very little cuts between positions, rather an attempt to capture the entire scene in a single take, or at least as few edits as possible. For me, that type of film making is much more exciting, and if blacked could put their superior female talent in film making similar to that, it would be a real winner. At the same time, blacked could keep the "classic" style they have now. It would just be two different categories on the same site. I know an idea like that would most likely inspire me to become a paying member once again, and in the end, isnt that what its all about for the producers? If the producers or a representative from blacked would like to discuss more with me, I would be happy to do so. I have many many more ideas on how to make improvements. While I do not work in the industry, I consider myself to be extremely advanced in my understanding of film making techniques, and ways to push the genre of IR porn to new levels. Thanks! [Link]

Pickups is strictly POV, and it's also scripted a lot like BoB, but I think Pickups is their best site in that whole Dogfart network. But that's not saying much as they leave a lot to be desired. Maybe Blacked could try a more gonzo-style POV site? Doesn't have to stay POV, but have the camera float around more like in homemade sex tapes. Now that I think of it, I actually find myself checking out amateur stuff a lot more lately, like homemade sex tapes. Even though they are lower quality, sometimes they just seem hotter. I wonder how it would be if Blacked tried something like producing a "sex tape" type of video, a la Kim Kardashian and Ray J. I think Blacked could do it even better, obviously with better equipment and producing. Let the girls hold the camera too. It would give it a more authentic vibe. Just tell the performers act like they are doing their own sex tape and let them go where they like, e.g. to the shower, the bedroom, the couch, whatever. It could be like cinema verite for porn. Then have another category, or maybe categories where other film making styles can be used. Creativity could be the theme. Maybe one is filmed as a POV, the girl hold the camera, an amateur style scene, whatever. The actual theme would be unpredictability. Every new scene that came out, you would want to see it because you dont know what will be done. Its like, u gotta see it to find out what new creative twist gets thrown in this time. I have always liked the idea of meeting the female talent in a real coffee shop somewhere, interviewing here a bit, ask about fantasies, etc....then go to the set and get after it. There is almost an endless supply of creative ideas that can be used, that are being left out of the current blacked format, in favor of providing a consistent, homogenized product. Yes, its a really high quality product, but for me, gets really really boring. Again, not trying to be negative of the current product, I just see an opportunity to take what is already being done excellent, and applying that to some more creative styles. Yes, you are right, dogfart does exactly that, w the interracial pickups site, and the watching my daughter go black site, etc....its just that they dont often secure top female talent, seem to not care as much about using quality equipment, and produce a generally lower quality product. However, often times I prefer dogfart because they are able to create what seems to me to be much more "real" sex scenes. Plenty of room for improvement, and taking IR porn to the next level. Somebody is gonna do it some day, might as well be blacked. [Link]

Blacked is going for a different type of audience, and that has worked for them very well to this point. I can completely see how this type of IR filmmaking would be more palatable to a female audience. I think you may have missed part of my point, which was that they should keep doing exactly what they are doing, while adding another site where creativity, and other film making styles can be explored. I don't think you can argue that the scenes follow a script, its obvious that they are scripted, and the script pretty much stays the same from scene to scene. There in itself lies a lack of creativity. It is a homogenized product. I argue that its possible to combine what blacked is already doing great (beautiful girls, great camera work, excellent lighting, etc...) and allow that to be used in a more creative way. "gonzo" is just one version of creativity. There is an endless supply of ideas that can be used to take this genre to the next level, but that has to be allowed to happen. ......oh yeah, and also, I have no idea who that other member is that you mentioned. I am a new member, and am not associated w anybody who has ever posted here. My guess is that is somebody w similar criticisms that I have stated. That is not a surprise, because I am merely pointing out the obvious flaws with what blacked is doing. Excellent product or not, if you do the same thing over and over and over again, people will tire of it. Stay creative, stay at the cutting edge or die, those are the facts. They are all about aesthetics and style, gonzo seems to be at the other end of the spectrum. They do an excellent job. My minor complaint, much more of a personally preference of mine, is the small number of anal/dp scenes. But overall, it's a pretty good site. [Link]

And while I wouldn't go as far as to say that they should venture into POV or anything like that, making it look/feel like there's actually some spontaneity or personality in the scene would make me enjoy the content more. You can do that and keep their lighting and general shooting style, and I feel like it would make their scenes much better. And to be completely honest, this is a complaint I have about Greg Lansky in particular (i.e. I have/had the exact same complaint about Teens Love Huge Cocks), and not Blacked specifically. Plus even if you did have to provide your race and gender to buy a DVD, anyone can easily lie when they are online. You can be anything you wanna be when you are online. You can bet though that the majority of people that bought DVDs and have memberships are young adult males of all races. [Link]
