If I'm not mistaken, Stevie Shae works as a production manager for DP so my guess is that it may be associated with that and in that capacity. And as was mentioned, Eva reupped for another year with Digital Playground. I'm sure more info will come out, but as of now I don't see any connection to Blacked.com Edited by - 4theheart on 2/29/2016 5:01:33 PM
I'm not very sure they were talking about a scene they shot, I mean they mentioned Derrick Pierce, Eva Lovia, Rob Piper and Stevie Shae , too big a crowd for a DP scene. I think they were talking about something else they did together not necessarily on set , some event maybe

^^^Stevie mentioned a "late night scene" in her response to Rob. However, if she was only involved as a production manager that would be very disappointing. Unfortunately it's a likely theory. Now that I've gotten past my initial excitement I realize that it is very unlikely that Stevie has returned to performing just for the sake of shooting an IR scene.
If this is real along with the Leah Gotti scene then what are they waiting for. A holiday release or something? Why would you sit on a Shawna lee BGG. That should have been out not long after her first scene.
My thoughts Exactly, with Eva Lovia even... He thanks her for choosing him , again it's unclear as hire him as a performer or preferred stud for a scene, we don't have parameters to know what they're actually talking about Edited by - LCF on 3/1/2016 8:54:39 AM
I had completely forgot that Stevie Shae works in production now instead. Easily one of the finest blondes to grace the screen! Holding out hope that Eva Lovia jumps that hurdle this year - seems to be high on Lansky's list on Twitter from tweets. Only real question is about that pesky contract. Sure it can be done, but if DP ask for a fee too then probably makes it too costly to shoot... :(
"Any guesses for the next update? Its a non exclusive BBG scene with a brunette.Anyone?" Could it be Dallas Black at long long last ? Man, I hope so ! She's been wanting to film for Blacked for ages, pushing for it on Twitter, and I suppose her scene with Sean Michaels in 'My Wife's Darkest Fantasy' would explain the non-Exclusive wouldn't it ? If it IS Dallas, then this will potentially be three fabulous scenes in a row with girls new to Blacked.com. First time poster BTW. Nice to join the board. ^^^I certainly hope you're right but, if it were Abigail Mac, wouldn't it have an exclusive tag? To my knowledge, she hasn't yet done IR for any other company. Am I wrong? Edited by - Maddy's Daddy on 3/1/2016 4:20:30 PM Edited by - Maddy's Daddy on 3/1/2016 4:43:47 PM
Yeah Shawna said she shot another scene in her MyFreeCam room yesterday... I asked her you should do another scene, she said she has... a long time ago, but it ever came out and it was a BGG scene. Edited by - swungman on 3/1/2016 6:54:14 PM
I love her, too, but she's got some pretty stiff competition for your award at this point in her career in, at least, Bobbi Eden, Zara Whites, Terri Summers, and Deidre Holland. Just MHO, and worth what you paid for it.
How forward thinking is it to shun tattoos though? Do you really think they will cast a chick with a buzz cut? I'd welcome some mold breaking. Any hottie regardless of hair length is welcome in my book. But it's quite clear that Lansky and co's book is different.
^ True. I somehow suspect porn is more flexible with chicks with tattoos rather than GI Janes. Just one of the things distinguishing porn from mainstream modeling. But in either case, I think the reluctance to fully embrace either tattoos or short hair represents conservativism by committee. I can envision producers and investors who come together to decide on how best to broaden the appeal of their product, invariably they dilute a genuine auteur's vision. We read about movies being ruined this way all the time. But I think there should be more liberty in porn where creators should be able to pursue more individualist vision or notions. What I'm trying to say is it seems to me that in porn, content creators should feel even less inclination to play it safe. That's why my biggest criticism with Lansky, who I still praise with all due respect, is the product still feels pretty "safe." To their credit, I think they took a risk with that first rimming scene, but I think that actually proved why risks are good, because the reception seems to have shifted favorably toward it, or at least more tolerant. So do the right thing Lansky and co. Invite Katrina Jade. Invite them GI Janes too. Cutting her hair short never hurt Belladonna. Yall know you can make it work. Any marginal complaints at first will quickly be drowned out by the praise anyway, as long as the scenes continue to deliver fire at the core. Just my 2 cent
The prospects of a model being successful in porn with a buzz cut are slim to none. (and the notion that Lansky is some kind for forward thinking innovative mind who would buck established trends is a good laugh) That isn't my opinion, that's the reality. Models can't even be successful with curly hair before they straighten it to get more work. This isn't an industry that embraces uniqueness. Successful porn models must fit a "Stepford Porn Star" mold. Edited by - RobinWood on 3/2/2016 2:42:25 PM

^Bonnie Rotten would certainly disagree with your assessment.
About curly hair? Bonnie has straightened her hair in a bunch of her scenes. About the "stepford porn star" idea? There's always going to be an archetype. Ten years ago, it was blonde and buxom. Right now, it's young and natural. It doesn't meant that you have to fit the type to be successful, but that if you do fit it can make things much easier for you in terms of getting booked/getting well known. The Bonnie Rotten thing must be to illustrate that alternate looks can be successful, but that fills a specific alt niche. There's no middle ground. It's either the extreme alt look or Stepford Porn Star.
In some part I agree with this, at least the hair part. Katie St. Ives was absolutely gorgeous with her curly hair and she straightened it The rest of it I don't agree with. If Lansky wasn't a "forwarding thinking innovative mind" then BLACKED wouldn't be where it is now. Whether or not he'll shoot a model with a shaved head is still up in the air. He's doing things on a level and with a uniqueness that some can't handle.
^ Lansky took Collette's/Met-Art's style of shooting porn and applied it to interracial. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm extremely happy that he did so, but it definitely wasn't innovative, and I'm not really sure it was "forward thinking" either. Nica Noelle is arguably a more innovative and forward thinking porn director than Greg Lanksy.
^ Again, the innovative part would be taking that leap and actually shooting a woman with a none traditional look and giving it something more than just the basic 1st interracial scene. That I'm waiting for.

^^Actually, what Lansky did by introducing a new style into IR undoubtedly fits the definition of the word "innovate." That he did not necessarily originate the style does take away from the innovative act of him bringing that style into IR. The idea that IR can be erotic is very forward thinking imo.
^ We can agree to disagree on this. Taking a style of porn that was already very, very popular and putting a simple spin on it isn't something I would call innovative at all. Smart? Yes. But not innovative.
All it means to be innovative is just to offer a new approach that works so Lansky is innovative within the arena of interracial porn, he may not of created that style but applying it to IR was an innovative move in that no one had really tried it up to that point. The fact that it took off so quickly and the industry took notice and has now tried to shape it to suit that image is proof of that. If he was merely just smart and not an innovator would imply that shooting IR in that style would of just happened eventually anyway and i think anyone who thinks that has a very short memory and has forgotten what the IR landscape was in even 2012 or 2013.
^ Even that assumes that no one shooting this style had shot interracial before Blacked came around. And that isn't actually true. What's true is that no one had built a site around it. My problem with the argument that you guys are making is that it tries to make interracial porn a separate entity from mainstream porn. It doesn't get to be innovative just because you're using black male talent instead of white male talent (because that's almost literally the only difference). They're still the same basic style of scene. That doesn't take away from the success of it. That doesn't take away from the risk involved in doing it or Lansky's skill while making it. But just changing the race of the male talent doesn't make it innovative.

Building a site around it is an innovation. IR is its own genre or sub-genre. That is simply the current status of IR. Bringing a certain style to IR and creating a site that employs that style is innovative. To innovate is to introduce something new. That is the common definition of the word. Greg Lansky introduced something new to IR: Blacked. I think perhaps we disagree on what the word "innovate" means?
it's hard to describe because he innovated within a niche genre which in turn made that niche become the mainstream so it can be kind of a grey area in those terms but it was innovation nonetheless. but you are right, probably not changing anyone's mind at this point.
^^^ I don't think we disagree on what "innovate" means. I just don't think that bringing something that's already popular within the overarching genre (porn) into a subgenre (IR porn) is introducing something new. At best, it's new to the audience that only watches IR porn, but it isn't new. Again, everything about this playbook (including the relying almost exclusively on the young, natural and innocent look) is something that was already being done and was popular. And with that, I think we can end this line of discussion. Edited by - whatsatelephonebill on 3/3/2016 2:31:51 AM
