It depends what kind of popularity we are referring to. If we're talking about popularity among the studios then Isiah is the most popular, because dredd is only shooting for 2 studios at best (blacked & JJ) and because it is said that isiah is kind of the easiest black guy to take for a lot of girls. If we're talking about social media & tendancies right now, then Dredd is the most popular. He is in his "X named girl first IR shooting with him" moment.
Well it has a line over him at Evil Angel and a line over him at Jules Jordan plus he's fairly regular at blacked and at Interracial Pass So right now , yes he's one of those in high demand hence popular

When you state it that way, I can swallow it. But Shia Lebouf & Vin D had mutiple movies and series in theaters at the same time. That didn't make them "The Most Popular", It made them in "High Demand". People have been excited for the return of Julio Gomez. I would say he's both popular and in demand, but not a single new scene in close to a year. I get the sentiment and I'm not here to argue, but claiming anyone is the most popular is a bold statement and even bolder when you don't qualify it the way you did. And, don't think I didn't notice the fact that you didn't echo the "Most Popular" quote.
^5 Dredd has 53.3K Twitter followers. Isiah Maxwell has 66.7K Twitter followers. Dredd filmed 34 scenes in 2017. Isiah Maxwell filmed 149 scenes in 2017. Isiah Maxwell is more popular and in more demand. Blacked or JJV may not film him but every other porn studio does.
Kinda splitting hairs here. Isiah is obviously one of the top players in the game, but what separates them other than the obvious is this. Dredd is a featured performer. Multiple features at hush, multiple features at evil, and now the same with jules...fans want to see the show. I'm sure more girls want to work with isiah, but Dredd is becoming a brand if he isn't already.

If you do a poll they would destroy Isiah in a poll of who the fans would want their favorite girl to do a scene with. Remember a lot of girls wont do scenes with dredd or mandingo. Some girls will even charge more because of their size. They are not "SAFE" options. In IR they constantly take certain guys like Isiah and put them in every scene. Some girls feel uncomfortable doing scenes with random black talent unlike white talent who they don't care who the guy is. Producers have to pick safe guys that are not threatening. It feels like its the same 5 black guys in every scene in IR. Many Girls will only do selective IR. That's part of the reason IR sucks for me. Same guys doing scenes with the same girls over and over again. Boring Boring. You can't sell Isiah Maxwell as a brand name like dredd. He is just the easy scene that girls want. Big paycheck and not have to work for it. I guess it depends on your definition of popular. I look at it from a fan's perspective and money perspective who could sell dvd's. Not the safe option perspective that girls prefer.

A ton of people also saw The Last Jedi, doesn't mean it was good. This is just another example of why the original statement needed to be qualified. Personally, I would take Isiah over Dredd. At the same time, I would take Flash and Rob over both of those two. Many factors including availability, rate, female talent acceptance, physical size, studio affiliation etc affect casting. I still haven't seen a decent IR scene with Cali Carter, makes me wonder if it's Society 15 dictates who their IR friendly talent work with. 6 months ago, it was Prince Prince Prince, and I didn't feel like he was as popular or in demand as he was being forced on us. Thankfully, Blacked started to use alternative talent to him.

I would say so. Girls like Maxwell, he is an easy paycheck...for certain reasons. But he is not very popular with (male) fans. His Blacked rating is very low for example. So I would say you can make more money with Dredd/Mandingo. But at the end of the day, it's up to the girl.
^ Yep. Part of the reason blacked stopped using him is because the fans reacted bad to him. I certainly don't watch his scenes. Not a fan and he is way to overused. I think its actually been proven that even if fans don't like certain performers they will still get work if the producers or girls like them. I could think of a number of guys that still got work even though the fans complained.

Hush/IRPass just dropped Elsa Jean's first IR b/b/g scene. Dogfart just dropped Riley Star's first IR b/b/g scene. But Blacked is giving us a re-run of a scene they've shot twice before. And Elsa will probably turn up on BlackedRaw doing the same thing again in a couple of weeks. And Marley Brinx is the next update on BlackedRaw in a b/g anal scene, nearly a year after her last appearance on Blacked... in a b/g anal scene. I wouldn't have a problem with that, I mean, at least it's something different from the relentless vanilla b/g vaginal scenes, were it not for the fact that there have been so many re-runs recently and since it's obviously the studio's new direction. 11 of the 19 IR updates released by this studio so far in 2018 has been a returning performer in the same set-up as they've shot for the studio before. No matter what anybody says, that wasn't what this studio's IR content used to be about. As things stand, Blacked is on course to produce its lowest amount of exclusive content since the site launched.

I'm curious how you came to the conclusion that BLACKED is on pace to having less exclusives as well. You consider firsts and group scenes as exclusive content and they've already had: Alexa, Kendra & Tali orgy, Zoe Parker 1st, Davina Davis 1st, Carolina Sweets BBG, Lana Rhoades BBG anal. Seems like a good pace to me. Also, how do you know that most don't want to see 1 on 1's? You don't. You're assuming that your own preference is what the majority want to see when BLACKED actually has all the data at hand. For all you, BLACKED noticed that most people watch/download the 1 on 1 scenes and members heavily request girls to return both in the members section and in private suggestions through email. There's also a matter of rates to consider in terms of which male talent gets shot more by different companies. Someone like Mandingo, for example, can charge a higher per scene rate than Isaiah, which would put him out of the range of a few companies that would otherwise want to shoot him, and those scenes would go to black male talent that doesn't charge as much. The same thing happens with white male performers as well, which is why you'll see someone like Johnny Castle working with more companies than someone like Manuel Ferrara, for example. Seeing some of the group of mainstream producers that Dredd shoots for at the moment (Lansky, Jules, and some people over at Evil Angel) makes me think that Dredd may be charging higher rates as well, which would limit his reach and mean he shoots less scenes overall.

@Gunslinger I haven't assumed anything. I've just pointed out how their output has changed and that the site isn't what it used to be. I didn't say anything about people's preferences. But, since you raise the subject, most people probably do prefer 1-on-1 scenes. Sure. That's why the majority of their content has always been b/g scenes. But for three years they produced a consistent variety of content, only to change things over the last 6-12 months. And I'm defining a re-run in this particular instance as I described it - a performer returning to appear in the same set-up. I'm not interested in who the dude is. A chick fucking a different dude doesn't make the scene different to me. If that's what somebody's interested in, then that's their business and I'm sure they're delighted with the new direction. But if just filming a chick with a different dude makes it a completely different scene, then why weren't they doing that from the start? Why did they bother shooting hundreds of exclusives, group scenes and so on, when they could've just shot the same chicks with a different dude a few times each? The site was apparently successful and award-winning for its first 3 years. And if you're shooting one style / standard of content for years and then make major changes to it, you risk losing as many customers as you gain. We've had 1/8th of this year's Blacked content already released/previewed and it included just two exclusives and two group scenes. Continue at that rate and they'll end up releasing fewer such scenes even than in 2014, when they started in March and were only one update a week. Only 6 of the 58 Blacked updates in the past 9 months have been group scenes. Only 23 have been otherwise exclusive (e.g. debut, contract, 1st anal, etc). That's much lower than in the past. If we factor BlackedRaw into the equation then between the two sites they should be producing a much greater variety of content than Blacked did on its own. But they're not. BlackedRaw has been overwhelmingly b/g non-exclusives and re-runs of chicks featured on Blacked in the same scenarios. Let's be clear, I've got no problem with any individual performer returning. I've got no problem with b/g scenes. I also realise that now that they have twice the content to produce, they were bound to double up on some of it. What I have a problem with is the overall shift in content, which has been so blatant over the past year that it's got to be deliberate. Which means that fans of their original style and content are currently left short-changed, despite the fact that they've now got two sites to produce such content for.
Isaiah shoots more scenes but in demand? There are no series lines over him unlike say Prince, Sean Michaels, Shane Diesel and of Course Mandingo , Lex and Dredd and only LeX and Dredd have a concurrent line at Evil and with Jules , not even Mandingo has this. Also doing the average wages may have something to do with the number of shootings , I'm keen to believe that Dredd doesn't come cheap Rico Strong is another one who may have done more scenes than Dredd but is he more popular?
Anyway I came to say what the hell? I'm a big fan of Elsa Jean but seriously she has three scenes coming out concurrently , at Teens Love Black Cock with jax , at Interracial Pass with Isaiah and Prince and tomorrow another one at Blacked Either those guys issued her as soon as they saw she was the next on Blacked or you all need to coordinate your issues this way you're mutually harming your sales
I agree. I just watched that new Blacked scene with Angela White. It is literally the same plot for the Brandi Luv scene. Noise complaint again? Really? Where is the innovation? This is what happens when there is no good competition in a market. Blacked & B-Raw only look good because in my opinion, the filming from other companies is very poor and lazy to be honest. It's only now that you're seeing the quality move up. But also I understand they're different filming styles in porn, like the bangbro's/jules jordan IR style with the fisheye lens on the camcorder/dslr they're using.

I've always been amused by complaints like this in this thread, as if Blacked should monitor and care about the content that other sites/studios put out.
I dont even bother with the plots anymore, they are rehashed and follow the hotwife or infidelity trope too much. I agree with Inigo on the lack of group and B/G/G threesomes. That was the main ticket that got me into Blacked, the group scenes and threesomes combined with GL's cinematic style I cry a little inside when I see people on Tushy and Vixen complain on threesome and group updates, knowing that Blacked fans might see one of those each season of the year

Totally agree. Most of the setup plots are very lame. You just have to skip them/not think about them. I did kind of like this one with Elsa, though. Haven't really watched it, but it seems there was no bullshit "cheating" scenario. I also wish there were more MFF and FFMM scenes for sure.

How long has Rico been in the game. He used to have the Rico The Destroyer series. He's got a big dick, but hes not the strongest performer. I can take Rico in a gangbang or group scene, but one on one, I just don't see any chemistry. For me the Irony is we have more black male talent than we've had in at least a decade. but no one is good enough to stand out as a superstar. Now, a big dick is always going to get attention, but I think Dredd is going to be short lived. For me, he is the second coming of Shane Diesel. Even though Shane managed to make a multi year career, most fans never really got real excited about his work. I think Blacked needs average looking black men. I can't identify with the face tattoo, crazy hair cuts and dirty braids and I dfind it hard to believe that their teenage talent pool gets excited or attracted to those men either.
Lasnky and Blacked, at best, would only be aware that any given female performer may have shot a few interracial scenes in the same time period. The studios don't discuss what movies each of them are going to release. What you're basically asking for is for them to change the schedule with 1/2 weeks notice just because you think people won't want to download/watch 2 scenes that closely together.
