I just noticed that Adult DVD Marketplace has "Debbie Does Dallas Again" starring Stefani Morgan, and there are 3 listings for it. One is for just a regular DVD, another is for Blu-Ray DVD, and a third for HD-DVD.

Can anyone elaborate on the differences?

One question you want to ask yourself is, do you really want to see the pimples, pock marks and flaws on some chick's rear up close and in full detail on HD?

HD-DVD is just a lot higher resolution than standard DVD with added functionality and angles. Blu-Ray is one format of HD that Sony wants to make a standard, though perhaps it'll have the same fate as Betamax...

You can see that in standard resolution in close-ups too.

I don't get it why people keep bringing up that stupid "argument".

I just think it's funny, wasn't meant to be serious. To be serious, HD is the wave of the future, though I do question Blu-Ray as the standard of choice.

And you can see it in MAINSTREAM hi-def movies as well...but none of Hollywood is complaining about it.

I agree, it's a silly excuse not to make the leap to HD porn. And usually made by people who haven't SEEN HD movies yet. Like HDTV, once you make the leap to HD DVD or Blu-ray, it's hard to go back.

HD DVD & Blu-ray are competing formats in high definition DVD's.

Essentially HD DVD & Blu-ray are to High definition as VHS & Beta were to video tape.

They each have their pluses & minuses and they are incompatible with one another. If you want to be able to watch both HD DVD & Blu-ray, you need to buy two players.

LG claims to have a player that will play both formats. However, this player costs more than it does to buy one player of each format and it can't execute all of the functions associated with HD DVD.
