Salutations,
I've got something a little different, and thought the ADT crowd might get a kick out of it.
Brandon Iron spotted me over at the parking lot for Ralph's grocery right before the convention. He asked if I'd draw an icon for him like the one I use for mine. I told him of course I'd oblige.
It took longer than I thought to get to it. I was hoping to have some time to sketch this out at the convention.
Best wishes always,
Jay

Nice. I was afraid it was going to be a picture of his schlong.
You should really do a whole notable people in the biz series.
Good work.

Wow, I'm starting to blush a bit :-)
Honestly, it's rare anyone asks. My friend Orpheus from Cirque De Sade had been asking me to draw him and his ladies for a while. Attached is the final piece.
Ironically, even as production manager for AVN, we would have many times when editorial illustration was not only appropriate, but necessary given the tight deadlines and time constraints. Very rarely was I approved to use illustration for the magazines (thankfully, that's begun to change thanks to Mike Desert and Robert Bailon, both great artists).
During the HIV Quarantine, we had very few photos we could use of Laura, Darren, and some of the other infected performers, so I put together a sketch in the morning of something incorporating the performers. Unfortunately, it was never approved for AVN.
I've done fetish art for years, and accept commissions when possible. There's a gallery at:

Best wishes always,
Jay

Thanks, Jay! I also appreciate you not divulging the fact that I was scrounging up donations for loose change outside the store. The drawing looks good! It feels good to finally make the break from nude model to full-on supermodel...with clothes even!
What's GQ's number?

Jay, I'm surprised I haven't seen your work adorning the cover to an alt-porn movie. It seems like your work would suit that movement. Ever had any thoughts in that direction?

Alas, the sketches are not paying the mortgage, as soon as they kick in some rent money, I can focus more time on them.
There's at least 10 framed fetish pieces here just taking up space. Between art shows, efforts to exhibit and framing costs, there's about $1000 in actual money invested in the past work, not including the hours spent on each piece.
I'd love to have my artwork featured on an alt-porn box cover or web site, but that's another industry and those guys usually have their own staff for that sort of thing.
As for box covers, Ed Web and I teamed up for The New Neighbors covers. I did most of the ads for SLLAB (some of the best and worst). In the production dept at AVN, I also did a lot of graphics for AVN and Online. The problem of course is, most of the time, the illustrations didn't make it in.
We've talked about doing a comic book for 'The Four' at Ninn Worx. It would be cool to work some of the pages and be on the team for that, but that's another subject.
Best wishes always,
Jay
PS: Speaking of art and porn, Michael Manning's comic "Tengu" is featured in David Aaron Clark's 'No Man's Land, Asian Edition #6: Thousand Year Afternoon' David brings Manning's work to life in a fantastic four-way scene. Michael Manning does awesome work, and erotic comics that blow the doors off what we have in the video industry.
