I am looking to pat to have a custom video made for me by 2 pornstars, for the purpose of me then marketing it myself online and selling it via my own Clips4Sale account. I would be the one creating the script for the video, choosing the storyline and props, and will be paying the pornstars for the production of the video. But once the video has been produced for me, and sent to me, will I then automatically own the copyright for that video due to the fact that i scripted it and paid for it's entire production? (Giving me the automatic right to sell it myself) Or would the pornstars own the video copyright, and me not be allowed to sell the video myself? [Link] |

The pornstar (Sinn Sage) promotes on her own website the offering of her doing custom videos, but doesn't specify the t&cs of re-sale of the produced video. In terms of money im looking to spend around £1,000 (for a 10min clip). [Link] |

The question you have to solve is what is required to assign the rights to you. Another thing to keep in mind is your legal responsibilities to declare a commercial import/export if you are receiving the film for distribution and it is created in a different country and delivered to your country. And finally, is their any licensing requirements in your country for distributing film/video (regardless of format/genre) that might need to be dealt with in some legal manner. [Link] |
