There are a huge number of counties and municipalities that do. It's almost impossible to be 100% certain. I think that Adult Video News has a section on their web site (www.avn.com) that could provide better insight on this issue. Maybe if your state had a law against sending those videos. But as you are not in North Carolina that law cannot possibly apply to you. States cannot exercise influence beyond their borders. I really don't see under what legal grounds someone could be prosecuted for that. If you're not in NC, how can you break NC law? I would think that what is possible is that the package may be confiscated but I don't see how the sender could be held liable as he wasn't even in NC. And on top of that it crosses state lines. And well, that's probably a moot point anyway as it's almost certainly an uneforceable law. I really really doubt that someone's gonna inspect the package on its way. Maybe I'm wrong but if so can you enlighten us? [Link] |

I usually have the buyer print out and sign a waiver (i.e. I'm over legal age, I'm not buying this in order to prosecute or harass the selle, I'm not going to provide this item to a minor, etc.). Finally, it should be worth noting that in order to even view eBay listings, you have to attest, among other things, the following statement: "5. I understand and agree to abide by the standards and laws of the community in which I live or from which I am accessing this site." Certainly, if there ever was a problem, it would be the bidders, since they would be the one breaking the law and falsely representing themselves according to the terms of use. The fact of the matter is that sex is good business, both for the companies and for the government (A&E provides tax revenue and employs quite a few people). Now I live in Utah and the only shops that won't send here are adultdvdempire and dvdexotic. So it's not like if you're unfortunate to live in a Neanderthal state you're shit out of luck.
