Hey, did you heard the latest news about Canon Rebel XTi? They will be rollin' out this new 10-megapixel camera in november. It has a bunch of cool new features to the Rebel series and the price is good too. What do you think about it?

no ones had a chance to review it yet but the improvements to the existing body and $700 price point make it a strong value. If you have a strong investment in Canon glass already, it's a no brainer. If not, you might have a look at what Nikon & Sony are putting out. The Sony Alpha is an interesting camera for all but serious studio work. The in camera image stabilization is a real plus that others do not have.

I have 2 Canon lens so far (I had more before) and 1 is on the way. I thought twice about the new Rebel and I will probably wait for 30D to drop or just wait for 40D. The megapixel difference is not that wide. But I really need things like: big/solid camera body, PC socket, and 3N socket. The Sony Alpha's really started off well, here in NYC I see bunch of people walking with Alphas.

I agree with your take on megapixel differential. If you are mostly shooting for images to display on the web or up to 8x10 even a 1st generation digital rebel is sufficient.
