Like I said, Alex and I live within a few subway stops and have the same provider, so how come I can get into chat and he can't? Is it just blind chance? Or is there some sort of dividing line between one cluster of users and another? I don't know much about this stuff. [Link]

It varies depending on the company and technology, but usually boils down to a single telephone central office in area. - Saki [Link]

The solution I found was to use the mIRC client and connect to the chatroom that way. I miss the ADT chat client, however! gg [Link]
