No, it's similar. I was exclusive for 11 out of 12 months and only shot 13 out of 25 "guaranteed" scenes, one of which took two days to shoot and I was never paid a cent for. He also put pressure on Wicked to cancel my scenes with them when I, god forbid, demanded to be paid, as some kind of fucked up revenge. I suppose not paying me for two days of work and holding me exclusive for a year with no work wasn't punishment enough for me lol. It sucks, but it was certainly a learning experience and not a mistake I will make in the future. If he really needs $2,000 so badly that he can't afford to pay me then I guess we can chalk it up to charity ;)

Huh, I guess she is indeed back in the porn game. I'm just dumbfounded by this new scene because I thought that she was essentially done with porn and intended to move on to other things, like music. I liked her reply to Tushy's tweet promoting her scene: "thank ü 4 paying me that was neat."
^I think it's reasonable to believe that part of Carter's plan was that the contract with Axel would provide additional revenue and afford her time which she could then use for her other interests. If that employer isn't paying her for the work she does, then that could definitely change one's financial plans and strategy.

I think that's a bad guess, since she's still been doing porn this whole time. I think a better guess would be that she's free to shoot with other companies now that she's out of an exclusive contract she had been waiting to get out of.

From my reading of the tea leaves, Carter has so many irons in the (non-porn) fire that she doesn't need a full time agency. Why pay an agency fee when you have a good reputation and companies are lining up to book you?
^ 10% charged only upon what you actually earn as a performer is a cheap price to pay to have someone whose job it is to screen available work and collect for you. Unless Carter had a specific problem with Mark Spiegler (or he with her), it was a penny-wise and pound-foolish choice.

Well, let me ask you: How many times do you think Jennifer Lawrence shoots per month? Do you think producers wouldn't be happy to contact her directly or that she'd be short of offers? Of course, she's known as reliable. Still, she has an agent. Performers who want to make the most out of their careers have agents. Of course, they are free to do otherwise.
