It's always been rick solid. Well, I haven't used it for a while. Tonight, I've been listening to (pristine) CDs. At least twice, the thing has skipped from where it was playing to a random part of an entirely different song. Now I'm not really afraid to work on it. I hardly ever use it anyway so it wouldn't be a huge loss if I killed it but it's in my audio rack, has a bunch of CDs in it and I really don't want to take it out until I have some idea what I might try to do to fix it. I'm thinking the lens might be dirty since I've been smoking pretty heavy in this room. It may be sticky nicotine or it might just be dust. I have no idea. Does anyone know how accessible the lens assemblies are on these CD changers? [Link] |
