The thread was oroiganally about Nikki Ziering. I don't know what tier she would fit on but considering most people that don't already know her would have a hard time figuring out who she, I can't think she's be very high on the list.
She's been on some shows that you've probably never heard of, let alone watched. She's been in a few movies you haven't heard of. She was in a couple of movies you did see, but you don't remember her role. She married a guy that was last seen on TV more than a decade ago. She's been eye candy on a radio show.

We will soon see if this woman is really serious about making porn her new career or if this is simply a way for her to get quick cash in very difficult economic times. Let's face it- near 40, a LOT of bad plastic surgery, softcore porn movies, D-list (if that) celebrity with no mainstream projects on the horizon, recently divorced, etc. If she does a few Vivid videos and that is it, then we all know she was cashing in and getting out as fast as she could. If she does not stay with Vivid and decides to do more movies then we may see something special. The blurb from her is that her passions are sex and acting...there are a lot of studios who deliver star-based storylines with scorching sex that I am sure would be more than willing to work with her - i.e. Elegant Angel, Evil Angel, Sin City, JM Production/Powersville, Sex-Z, Jules Jordan, etc. These companies are miles ahead of Vivid in my opinion. My two cents on the ex-playmate potentially signing with Platinum Jewel...it was NEVER going to happen. If it was not the mother disagreeing it would have been some other reason. No celebrity, unless in complete dire straights (see above), is going to crossover from mainstream to porn. Like William Marigold has said in the past, "porn is a stepping stone to nowhere". The dollars are simply not there for them to make that make, not to mention the backlash she would receive from friends, family and the mainstream media. I too, agree, that the ex-playmate kind of strung Jewel along but I also believe she really had no idea what she would potentially be getting into. Finally, I don't believe Jewel made this story up. She is too smart to do something that foolish. She knows that it will be the quality of the product she delivers to the consumer that will make or break her company.

Noone has to dish out the cash for them. All celebrity porn were home videos shot for private use. ^I don't think a gang bang falls under the category of sex tape. Heck most porn performers don't even do those and many of the ones that wind up doing them wait a few years before making the jump. I can't think of a single celebrity of any grade that would be willing to do one for any amount of money.
The reason I said what I said is because about 5 years ago Nikki was better known and had some exposure because she was at least still showing up in some direct-to-video movies. It's always a bigger deal when a "celeb" with a sex tape is actually in the public eye at the time. Plus, 5 years ago sex tapes were still something of a big deal. Today they're just business as usual for the most part. So with those things factoring in plus the state of the industry I don't see how Nikki could possibly make as much money from a tape as she would've years ago. No matter what she does or how good she looks. The public doesn't care as much as it used to no matter how much TMZ or the tabloids make a big deal of it and porn fans are just jaded to the whole thing.
