I agree.
That is why I suggested Alanon.
Education about addiction cures ignorance.
When someone is an addict they ruin not only their life, but all that come in direct contact with them.
It can be devastating.
Some people can smoke a joint, have a drink, party on the weekends or saturday night, and be fine the rest of the week.
An addict cannot.
It has nothing to do with will or mind over matter.
We are not like normal people who can do that.
I love the show intervention. That takes family members to get involved, I'm not sure about her family, but I will check it out.
Right now I am trying to have all her old friends call her.

People really need to think before they make these assumptions. As you say, if addiction could be willed away, it simply would not be the problem that it is.
Most people who have a serious problem realize it (on some level) internally (even if they don't admit it outwardly). Most people who have a serious problem with addiction would love to be able to simply will it away. Especially once the brutal truth sets in and they realize there's nothing glamorous, appealing or fun about it at all.
By the time a person gets to the point to where they realize they're in trouble, willpower probably simply won't cut it. They have lost all control.

You are correct.
There is no control, that's why we are addicts.
You do however have a choice, to end up in one of three places, jail, hospitals or the cemetary, or get help.
Most addicts refuse to admit they are addicts.
That is step one. admitting you have a problem.
step two, turn your life over to the care of God or a higher power of your understanding.
Those two steps aren't easy to take unless you hit your bottom, and then sometimes, even after hitting bottom, most people refuse to take them anyway.
Addiction is a very real medical problem.
I smoked pot for 35 short years, the bottom on pot is like getting kicked to death by a rabbit, it goes on and on.
Chasey may never be ready, she may be ready today, you never know.
Just FYI, I've known many people who say, you can stop if you want too, don't be weak, and then they end up in the same boat, up shits creek with a turd for a paddle.

Woody, we can go back and forth about family members as I can point out some flaws in your arugument and I'm sure can in mine. Moving on though, addiction is about will power. You say it yourself, it's a struggle, you got help, and I'm sure every now and then you have thoughts about when you were getting high. But the mantra of AA is that you have to admit you are powerless against these substances. It's not easy, you have to change your life and that includes not hanging out with the same exact people with whom you got high. You have to change your life, and be strong about it. That meth or coke doesn't magically jump up someone's nose. It's willpower to resist temptation. Everyone can go round and round about calling me non compassionate, I'm actually a very compassionate guy, but it seems that everyone has a issue with me not being compassionate towards their issue and I'm not allowed to voice that opinion. It sure seems like I have a problem expressing my unpopular opinion, but noone seems to have a problem telling me that my opinion is wrong because I don't agree with them. That's kind of like an anti abortionist saying, "Abortion is murder and if you don't believe me, I'll kill you!" I've said it before and I'll say it again. Noone can help Chasey until Chasey admits she has a problem, and no amount of intervention or family involvment is going to change that until she has that revelation that she has a problem and wants to change.
FYI, I watch and rent porn because I enjoy watching young hot women doing really nasty things. Just watched Bree Olson in Chocolate Melts in Your Mouth and Hand #2. It doesn't get much better than a hot innocent looking blonde of 18 saying to the camera, "I'm a little white whore." Except Faye Valentine in The Gauntlet #3. That's why I watch porn. And I operate under the same double standard as everyone else that it's okay for other people's daughters to do porn, but it wouldn't be okay for mine to do it.
Spell check is not working right now, so I apologize for any misspellings that I didn't catch.

This kind of thinking is stupid, naive and immature. Addicts always play the victim. "Oh, we have it so much worse. We CAN'T HAVE JUST ONE DRINK!" Yes, you can. The rest of us do. Just grow up and stop being a 4 year-old victim.
So there are two kinds of people in the world?
1. Those who are responsible, intelligent and refuse to be a victims or use anything addictive as a crutch.
and
2. Those who are helpless to control ANY aspect of there lives, are habitual liars, blame everyone else for their problems, are in denial about EVERYTHING and NEED to go to rehab constantly. But the rehab won't take. Awww...because they're ADDICTS! Let's give them a pass.....let's wipe their ass 24/7 They're addicts! Let's not admire those who "can smoke a joint, have a drink, party on the weekends or saturday night, and be fine the rest of the week." Let's make fun of them. Let's coddle the addicts!
I hope this "Chasey Lain" gets some help but to think YOU are going to make a difference is symptomatic of why you consider yourself an addict. "Addicts" are special blessed people who need all the help in the world.
You're right. You're "not like normal people." You're weak. Please leave the rest of us alone.
Addicts everywhere should take off their diapers. Stop playing the victim. Stop letting the world wipe your ass.

First of all, to say that yes you can have a drink like the rest of us, is totally ignorant, you obviously know nothing about addiction.
If I have one drink or smoke one joint, it is on.
I am powerless over that.
I'm not playing the victim, I ask nothing from you.
No one is asking anyone to coddle the addicts. It has nothing to do with intelligence or responsibility, I am responsible for myself.
If I could drink like a gentleman or smoke a joint, I would.
I can't.
It has nothing to to with being weak, if it did I wouldn't be clean and sober for 2 1/2 years.
Let's see you not take a drink or smoke a joint for that time.
Then talk to me.
So you say I don't have to because I don't have a problem, then I should call you weak?
I don't need you to wipe my ass,You should educate yourself before making such stupid statements.
It is people like you we usually see at the meetings a couple of years down the road.

It really has nothing to do with wil power.
I'm sure I can white knuckle it and not partake in drugs, but without the program I will never be joyous, happy and free.
It is your opinion, it's not right or wrong, I just have a different view because of my own personal experience.
I live it everyday.
Intervention is a way to get someone who has a problem that won't admit it, do something about it.
The success rate is very small, 7% of all addicts who seek help never go out again.
That is a sad statistic.
Some people hit a bottom and can do it on their own, some people are forced to do it, thru family and friends or the law, by getting busted. A nudge from the judge so to speak.
I really think, as a suggestion, if you went to an Alanon meeting you would have a much better understanding about addiction, hey it can't hurt, and maybe it could help.

I thought you needed some further education so you don't make the same stupid comments again, which I'm sure you will, but whatever.
What is addiction?
There are many different ideas about what addiction
really is.
The explanation that seems to make sense to
most A.A. members is that alcoholism or addiction is an illness,
a progressive illness, which can never be cured but
which, like some other diseases, can be arrested.
Going one step further, many A.A.s feel that the illness
represents the combination of a physical sensitivity
to alcohol or drugs and a mental obsession with
drinking and using, which, regardless of consequences, cannot
be broken by willpower alone.
Before they are exposed to A.A., many alcoholics and addicts
who are unable to stop drinking or using think of
themselves as morally weak or, possibly, mentally
unbalanced. The A.A. concept is that alcoholics and drug addicts are
sick people who can recover if they will follow a
simple program that has proved successful for
more than two million men and women.
Once addiction has set in, there is nothing
morally wrong about being ill. At this stage, free
will is not involved, because the sufferer has lost
the power of choice over alcohol and or drugs. The important
thing is to face the facts of one’s illness and to take
advantage of the help that is available. There must
also be a desire to get well. Experience shows that
the A.A. program will work for all alcoholics who
are sincere in their efforts to stop drinking; it usually
will not work for those not absolutely certain
that they want to stop.
Can an alcoholic/user ever
drink or drug ‘normally’ again?
So far as can be determined, no one who has
become an addict has ever ceased to be an addict.
The mere fact of abstaining from alcohol or drugs for
months or even years has never qualified an alcoholic or user
to use “normally” or socially. Once the individual
has crossed the borderline from heavy
drinking/user to irresponsible druggie or drinking, there
seems to be no retreat. Few alcoholicsusers deliberately
try to drink/drug themselves into trouble, but trouble
seems to be the inevitable consequence of an addicts
using. After quitting for a period, the
alcoholic/user may feel it is safe to try a few beers or a
few glasses of light wine,or smoke a joint. This can mislead the person
into drinking only with meals, smoking after work. But it is not too
long before the addict is back in the old pattern
of too-heavy using— in spite of all efforts to set
limits for only moderate, social using.
The answer, based on A.A. experience, is that if
you are an addict, you will never be able to control your drinking/using for any length of time. That
leaves two paths open: to let your drinking/using become
worse and worse with all the damaging results that
follow, or to quit completely and to develop a new
pattern of sober, constructive living.
Learn something everyday, don't ya.

And no matter what, it is about will power. You have to be strong to resist the temptation that lurks in front of you. As I said before, the coke and meth doesn't just magically jump up your noise. You put it there.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Everything is a disease these days from overeating, drinking, sexual addiction, etc etc. It's all a crock to avoid facing personal responsibility. What is Alanon going to tell me that I don't know? That alcoholics and drug addicts suffer from a disease? Duh, I know that. Are they going to tell me that I should be sympathetic to my brothers because they suffer from a disease and to keep letting them steal and lie? And did anyone ever stop and think that maybe I've been to support groups in an effort to support my brothers? Been there and done that. It comes a point in time when everyone has to grown up. I chose to live a happy life, and part of that is to remove negative factors in my life. If I have write off alcoholic drug addict brothers regardless of if they are family to live a happy life, then so be it.
And for you clowns who said I should use spell check, the spell check wasn't working, and I mentioned that.

And really, most of you are inconsistent on this site. You're chastising the guy who posted the original clip, and telling Chasey to run the other way etc, but then in the next breath you're telling me to be supportive of my drug addict brothers. Why aren't you encouraging the guy who posted the clip to go to Alanon to better understand addiction and that Chasey is suffering from a disease? Or, is everyone going to encourage the next porn girl who is abused by a family member/boyfriend/spouse/manager to stick with him and go to a battered women's support group to understand better why she is used as a punching bag or are you going to encourage her to run the other way?

most people are sympathetic to Chasey because alot of us grew up watching her on film like myself and it is sad to see what this once beautiful woman has become. Besides the fact that Donny Long who posted the clip is a douche and a drug addict himself and it just looks like he orchestrated this whole charade to make Chasey look bad. I say Fuck Donny Long for doing this shit and just hope Chasey gets the help she needs because I too have met her years ago when she was in alot better shape than she is now and she was a fun and cool chick to hang with.

We addicts in recovery have found, through the Twelve Steps, that we are each responsible for ourselves and our actions. If a loved one helps divert a crisis for the addict, they take away the addict's opportunity to work it out, or fail. This will make it harder for the addict to perceive the problem and begin to seek the solution.
As the addict approaches their bottom and their disease worsens, family members and friends have a tendency to enable the addict, allowing them to postpone the ultimate repercussions of their using. Understandably, loved ones try to ease the suffering the addict may be feeling because of loyalty, love, caring, and a sense of responsibility. Family and friends may give money (which likely goes to buying more drugs), buy food, pay rent and bills, bail them out of jail, etc. By trying to save the addict from him or herself, you are doing both yourself and the addict a disservice.
Addicts often try to manipulate loved ones through the use of guilt, fear, and anger. This is a very common tactic used (both consciously and unconsciously) by the addict to get what he or she wants by taking advantage of the emotions of those closest to him or her.
Alanon is there to help you help yourself. I have yet to meet the person that knows everything about everything.
What you seem to be doing is using contempt prior to investigation.
That keeps one in total ignorance for just about any subject.
Hey, I wish you the best and i will pray for your brothers.
I would never write anyone off until they stop breathing.
I found people generally don't like living in a fucked up state, hurting themselves and everyone around them.
People deserve 2nd and 3rd and 4th chances if that what it takes to get well.
Just my opinion.

actually not really a good point.
No one told chasey to run the other way.
But if they were telling her that, it is because donny long is a douche bag.
I also don't think anyone told you to be supportive of your brothers, they may have suggested you get them help and get yourself some support thru groups like alanon.
I'm also pretty sure donny long doesn't need alanon, I don't know him, I only say he is a douche bag for posting the clip, I didn't see him getting chasey stoned, she came in that way.
If someone is being used as a punching bag the suggestion is that they leave that situation, I don't think any battered womans support group encourages a battered woman to stay with her man, that's kind of a silly statement.

The girls who sign for us eat before the show and never takes a lunch break.
They take a break to go to the bathroom, then go sign again.
I don't know if you ever saw the lines for jenna or at the vivid booth, but they sign more than a "few" autographs and take more than a "few" pictures.
I think you are also missing the point that their work doesn't end when they are done signing, they must entertain buyers for 4 days, we do dinners, parties, the awards show etc.
Which chain are you a buyer for?

Huh??? You're not putting a very convincing argument.
First off, you said that it was real hard smiling all day and signing pictures. Tell that to the crew who actually makes the girl look good on camera.
I'll go point by point. First, off, "How come you don't let them take a lunch break?"
Yes I've seen the lines for Jenna and the Vivid booth, but not every girl there is Jenna so comparing every girl to Jenna is way off base. And also, Jenna and Tera certainly don't sign for more than a few hours at a time. And as you know, the first few hours of the show each day, and the first day in general, it's industry only. Thus the long lines for the girls that you claim to exist are only 3 or 4 people long and the girl chats, flirts, poses, etc. After it actually is open to the public at noon or 1, the lines actually form. Then everyone is out of there at 4 or 5 at the latest.
Next, you do dinners. Whoa, sitting down at a table and saying, "I'll have the veal piccatta" is really difficult and I might add, is a lot of hard work.
After dinner, you do parties. Again, since when is a going to a party hard work? I've been to a hundred parties, and the only thing I've ever felt was hard work was when I had to arrange the whole thing myself? Long and sometimes boring, yes, but not overly difficult when the bar is open.
Next we have the award show. Again, very hard work. The only thing hard about the award show is sitting there through 100 different categories over 4 hours. It's worse, since they moved it to Mandalay Bay and opened it to the public.
Lastly, as far as entertaining buyers, I'll give you that one, because, I'm sure it's difficult for the girl to give 10 different buyers head in one night, under the guise of "it'll be good for your career"
From my experiences, the actual hard parts for the girls; are the company owners who insist on the girls wearing their ridiculous stripper high heels all day long, having to get up early after drinking all night, and as I mentioned, giving blow jobs to buyers. And as you say, not taking lunch breaks and making them get right back to signing after going to the restroom is more a reflection on what type of employer you are then anything else.
So to try and pass several days off in Vegas as hard work for the girls is really silly. Now, the sales staff on the other hand, they actually do work.

They don't take a lunch break because they eat before they get there, work for 4 hours and they are done.
Tera signs for 4 hours at AEE , jenna the last few years, besides last year she wasn't on the show floor, signs for 2 hours and before that she stayed for 4 and 5 hours.
They are entertaining at dinner and at the parties, they have to be always smiling and on.
getting ready for the show is sometimes a 2 or 3 hour ordeal, then doing the red carpet.
Hey I'm not saying it is construction work, but they are working and getting paid for it.
You say you're a buyer, how many blow jobs have you gotten from the vivid girls or the club jenna girls?
I would venture to say, let me give it a number, zero.
also i could put that in a time frame, like never.
So that is kind of rude of you to even say that.

I wouldn't question what kind of employer I am, I would question what kind of buyer you are.
Which you failed to mention what chain stores those are.
Hummmm wonder why?

Don't question any of "Hollywood Woody"'s comments. He's is totally not responsible for any action or comment he makes. He is powerless and must submit to "higher power."

I have to give that round to Eyeballs. Not a very convincing arguement put up by his opponent.
To only use companies such as Club Jenna and Vivid is pretty weak considering there are only what, about 1000 companies out there. He probably doesn't mention the stores that he works for because he doesn't want some douchebag calling him up and harassing him at work.

There are about 300 vendors, try doing some research before talking purely out of your ass.
You should also check the rules of this site, it is not ok to call people names.
Congrats on spelling douche bag correctly, but is two words not one.
Just like "no one" is two words which you keep spelling as one.
I think you maybe should go out an get your wits sharpened.

Is that one of the steps? What is it? #6? #8? Is it the 19th step and if you hit it through the hippo's mouth you get a free game of mini golf? You can't question or mock the entire "cult of sobriety?" There are several things the I personally think are out of bounds to make fun of but the Cult of AA is certainly not one of them. I live in the real world. Maybe you should too. Please educate me and tell me how AA is any different than something like Scientology?
This "Alcoholics Anonymous" sounds like a HELL of a lot of fun. I want to hang with you guys. Why so serious?
Maybe we can go out for a beer afterwards.

P.S. Listen. There are a lot people out there dealing with SERIOUS health problems that they had NO part in bringing upon themselves and they use every waking moment and every ounce of strength to fight and conquer their disease or condition. REAL diseases and conditions. I'm sorry for all those "ten years sober", etc. but you are NOT "warriors" just because you don't have the will power to not get blindingly drunk at the mere smell of booze.
P.P.S. Is EVERYONE in the adult industry either an egomaniacal drug addict or a bitter co-dependent head case?
