Hi everyone. Is anyone familiar with CheapoDVD.com? I could not find any info on their website on whether the particular titles that I was interested in are in stock or not. I even added a disc to my cart just to see if a message would list if it was in stock or on order.

Anyone know if they are reliable? Do they ship fast? Thanks.

Just search the shopping forum for the word "cheapo". You'll find some info that may be helpful.

Thank you... I probably should have done that first.

I still can't find any info on the status of stocked items, but it seems that XRent DVD has the best selection of in-stock titles. I've been having problems lately with some companies having DVDs "on order," and then it takes forever for you to get them.

If I remember correctly I belive that Cheapo won't let you add an item to your cart that they do not have in stock. That was many, many months ago. The policy might have changed since then.

I have only ordered from Cheapo once, but it was not a good experience. They shipped part of my order promptly but neither the invoice nor the confirmation email mentioned anything about the remaining items. I emailed them regarding the status and either got no response or very vague information. Eventually I received a voice mail message from them but when I called back and asked for that person, the person who answered told me he wasn't there and to call back at a later specified time. Each time I called back, the person I was trying to reach was not there, and it was always the same guy answering and telling me to call back again later. He said he coudln't access my order because the other guy was handling it.

Eventually he did access my order and said that the items would ship in the next several days. When they didn't, I called back and eventually was informed that they were out of stock and I was asked to make alternate choices. There was still one or two items that I couldn't replace with an alternate choice and I was told I would be issued a credit on my charge card for any outstanding balance. But I even had to call them back in several days to get that action accomplished.

I would never deal with Cheapo again. Their prices were good, but the whole experience was a nightmare. Since then I've found DVD Adult Marketplace which has been incredible for what I'm looking for, in selection, price and prompt delivery.

BTW, I think DVD Advantage is run by the same guy as Cheapo. I noticed their website was set up very similarly and when I called their number (different than Cheapo's) I got the same guy answering. Trust me, I got to know this guy's voice very well!
