I like to see less is two men and a woman at the same time. It drowns out the woman in the Scene. Then you are not able to enjoy the woman. What you see more is two fucking hair ass men. I have to say I agree with most of this list:It is interesting that you should mention dubbing and mechanical looking action. From what I have seen, your second, third and fourth item will, either singly or jointly, exclude most of European-made porn, even the GGG titles that some are raving about. I finally got to see a couple of those on VHS, and they were... interesting. Except for the sound, that is. There seemed to be some kind of a canned sex sounds soundtrack that did not quite mesh with what was happening onscreen. On the other hand, the action was messy enough to be interesting (a common situation was two girls receiving facial blasts from a bunch of faceless guys and then spitting and dribbling the result into the other girl's face and mouth).
Most of Private stuff is dubbed and mechanical-looking, I suppose because their star director Pierre Woodman started out with the photo-stories for their magazines and has kept the style, even if it does not work as well in moving pictures. He also shoots sex scenes in very uncomfortable looking places. I recently got the Private compilation Odyssey 2001, and one of the Woodman scenes is shot in some kind of scummy tide pool on a rocky beach; it is another M/M/F scene, there are too many of those in Private.
Then there are those German videos from Dino, when I watch them I get this very distracting mental picture of some prissy middle-aged woman reading the dialog from a paper in a recording studio: "Ooh, das ist geil! Ja, fick mich! Oh-- Ah--"... (The people who do the dubbing, and it seems they are always the same people, emit these short ah-a-a- ah-a-a sounds.) Also, they manage to shoot very unexciting fisting scenes.
About the last point: Actually, I find the idea of the guys accidentally hitting each other with their ejaculate kind of amusing. At least if there is a genuine reaction: "What the fuck--"
I just thought of another thing. Generally I have no problem with tattoos and piercings, but if you want to make a historical costume drama, it is bad form to have your actresses sporting clit rings and pink toenails, not to mention tribal tattoos. (With the current fashion trends, historical porn dramas may become very difficult to make if you want to have any standards of verisimilitude.)
OK, may I finish with a question: Can you recommend any European porn that is not dubbed or mechanical and does not feature bored-looking actresses? I have not had much luck in that respect.
Reason: It's interesting how different we interprete the points I mentioned :-) Actually to me it seems that the first 4 points are often found in American films, while the chance to avoid them by watching a European flick seems quite big to me. Nothing against American porn in general, but I feel in many films the formula is always the same, while many European flicks try to throw in another nasty, unexpected twist or something like that. I've also watched quite some GGG films, and I don't know what they're doing to the sound. Most of the time it seems correct, but sometimes I hear things which don't fit the action on the screen. I came to the conclusion that this often might be the sound belonging to a scene happening in the background. Don't think it's really dubbed though, other than the Private releases. I have to agree that after having watched some Private-films I started to find them boring. For my taste the girls look too perfect and too cool, not really into it.
Suggesting any European titles you might like is difficult, especially since you don't seem to like the European flicks as much as I do. I've heard great things about films made by Phillipe Soine (I think his name is written that way). Maybe I will add some here when they come to my mind.

It is true that American porn has its problems, one of them being badly done and unnecessary boob jobs (I don't really want to see angry-looking crescent-scars on breasts if I can avoid it). Dubbing is mostly an European thing. I suppose the actors/actresses are mixed nationalities and maybe the producers feel that the viewer does not want to hear a thick accent in the dialogue. Plus I have seen footage from a Private set, where the director's shouted directions would drown out any other sounds.
Perhaps I might mention some things I have seen recently. There was an Italian movie "Disinibita" with a girl called Valeria Rocca, which I found quite good. This was not dubbed, which I liked, even if I do not understand Italian. I had mixed feelings about a rape-type scene in it, where a group of men forces a hooker into anal sex (lots of gaping in this one), but overall the scenes were very good. The DVD doesn't work very well in my player, unfortunately. The menus don't work at all, and near the end of the movie the picture starts freezing and jumping alternately.
From Germany, the first Uromania DVD (haven't seen the others) was a pleasant surprise, because it was not dubbed. Some of the actresses might have been more attractive, but perhaps they were chosen for their long-distance urination skills, which were very impressive. I thought the scenes were funny in a twisted way.
Reason: I'm often having that problem when writing posts. Most of the time I get logged out too early while still writing. Maybe it was a good idea to change the duration of validity of the session. I got used to it, though, and what I'm doing now is marking and copying all the text I've just written before posting it. When I'm asked to log in again, I log in and can simply paste the text into the message box again. Sometimes simply pressing the "Back" button on your browser after logging in again will take you back to the text you wrote, but that doesn't work always.
I don't think the Uromania DVD was only a pleasant surprise. I'm yet to see a real German DVD dubbed. Since most of the time the companies use German actors they don't have any problems with the language. Of course imported films sold by a German company are dubbed quite often, and films produced in other European countries (e.g. Private films) might be as well, but I've already seen lots of German DVDs where the sound was untouched.
Great to read a good remark about those Ialian DVDs. Thought about getting one or two myself, but didn't have the trust in the quality. Maybe I'll get some now.

My earlier experiences with German-language videos were with a few Dino/Dolly Buster productions, one or two Maximum Perversum titles, and before that Teresa Orlowski/Hans Moser productions. All of those had the same bad dubbing I had come to associate with German porn and I didn't like any of them that much. (Come to think of it the Dino videos always feature Private regulars Phillipe Soine and Roberto Malone.)
So I had just bad luck? (Of course, there was not that much to choose from here.)
