All those guys that had problems with customs were ordering from OUTSIDE the EU (generally they ordered from the US). If your order from INSIDE the EU you shouldn't have any problems.

For instance recent Private DVDs at www.dvdzone2.com are only 25 Euros (less than 20 Ireland Punts) INCLUDING shipping! Check out also erodvd.nl in the Netherlands great prices including shipping worldwide. There are some thread about erodvd.nl/erovideo.nl in this forum, please check them out.

Granted, for American DVDs it's better to order direct from the US. Choose a retailer that has low shipping charges and always order your DVDs one by one (not say a package of three or four). You should be OK, they'll slip through customs. My favorite retailer is Adult Lasersedge at http://www.lasersedge.com (click on Adult Lasersedge when you get to the main page). Good prices, only $4 shipping to Europe for a single DVD.

I did check out dvdzone2.com. I agree, for 25 Euros, that's a good deal! But the titles I'm interested are mainly from the US. So, I guess I'll have to decide between AdultDVDNow and FiveStarDVD, huh? The impression that I'm getting from the other posts about ADN is that it's like Amazon; steep prices, and P&P, but you can count on them to be reliable and fast. How's the customer service with 5StarDVD?

I also read from other posts that when buying from ADN, they just send the dics; wouldn't that damage them during shipping? Also, that packaging for 5SDVD can be 'dogdy' by it's large and conspicuous - wouldn't that attract attention from customs then?

I'm sorry for all these questions; I'm new to all of these and nervous about buying/importing porn DVDs for the first time.

ADN are very good but they have become one of the most expensive retailers. They package the disks well so don't worry about them getting damaged. You may want to check out DVDXtreme they ship in a similar way and shipping is cheaper.

5Star no longer use the large boxes prefering jiffy bags. What attracts Customs is not so much package size but the value stated on the Customs Declaration Form. I have been caught every time for Duty if a value exceeding £18 has been declared on the front.

Like Joey Starr Lasersedge offer some good prices, cheap shipping and they mark down the value to avoid Customs.

Justin, are you from the Republic or the North?

If you are from south of the border, you should have (virtually) no trouble with your shipments from the continent or the States. Of all the deliveries I've gotten, there's been NO PROBLEMs with (Irish) Customs regarding content or value of orders. Even FiveStar's "big" box packages have arrived with no problems.

As to who to order from, FiveStar is probably the most reasonable US company now. AdultDVDNow were excellent until they stopped using their "Low Price Guarantee" and their general prices are a bit higher than some others. If their prices were cheaper and they had a few more sales I would have no hesitation of ordering alot more from them. I've also used GlobalFlix a few times and they are not too bad on prices and are (quite) reasonable on shipping. I suppose it depends on what types of DVDs and what labels you want.

For European distributors, you could try DVD Zone 2 . Reasonable prices and quick service. And as you may have noticed from other current posts, Erovideo/EroDVD are pretty good.
