This has really bothered me for a long time... What is it that makes Teagan and Jenna Haze so different from the other 10,000 "girl next door" girls. Its really been annoying me cause I cant figure it out. I've seen more websites, posts, reviews and general talk about these two girls. But really what makes them any different from a Mary Anne, or a Kissy Kapri or Brianna Blaze. I mean dont get me wrong, I think these girls are hot. Really hot... But I just dont get why they are so popular but the girls who seem to have more scenes than them, do more hardcore scenes than them, and (atleast to me) look just as good as them, are NO WHERE near as popular. Teagan may have been able to pull of the "Girl Next Door Look" when she first started but Jenna could NEVER EVER be considered in the GND category. Her beauty is far too.....modern, sophisticated, etc. Why I like Jenna so much? Perfect face and body (that ass........). Don't let it bother you. That's all. If you don't get it chances are you never will, just enjoy the other girls. It's like music, I don't get the Clash, they're damn popular and far more popular than so many bands I like but I just don't get it, that's it. I think that you are right about the "fun fucks". I would also add to the list Sunny Lane and Penny Flame. They always seen to be having fun...and that generates the heat. Slightly OT but in reference to Spoonbender's comment, one of the problems I find is that a lot of porn fans praise 'energy' from a performers, which often translates into fake, 'porny' overacting/screaming. Regarding Teagan I find that I get more turned on by her still shots than by anything I see in the few scenes of her that I have watched. Pluuuuheezzz....I don't hate her....I was clearly stating my personal preferences. I don't think that fans who love her every scene are some how tasteless fan boys. And, this isn't one those dumb appreciation threads where it is considered a criminal offense for a poster to make the slightest hint that maybe the girl in question is in anyway imperfect. I said something about jenna haze not being as pretty as people say she is on a thread back a week or two, and some of her hardcore fans tried to crucify me for it. I was arguing about how photoshopped images make people look better than they really are etc. and some guy was trying to tell me that most of her pictures are completely unedited, lol. I think Jenna Haze is pretty, but i don't see how she's prettier than the average good looking girl you see on the street. The reason i believe she has so many fans is because of her incredible personality, the fact that she loves what she does, and that she really knows how to work a scene. I'm not defaming her man; i get that she has pics of her that are completely undedited, but to say that those pics even come close in number to the ones that ARE digitally enhanced is ridiculous to say. I seriously doubt there are a bazillion untouched pics of her since about 85% of the ones i've seen of her are enhanced, and all i did was google her name. I've googled jenna haze pics tons of times and most of them are obviously digitally enhanced, that's just how the porn industry makes their stars seem larger than life. The issue is that you are trying to fabricate an issue where one doesn't exist. If you are going to go off on photoshopping of models, take a look at what Digital Playground does with its contract girls. On the other hand, with Jenna Haze, what is there to photoshop? Well, to be perfectly honest, I like Jenna but Teagan isn't really my cup of tea (Not putting her down, She just isn't my type). What I like about Jenna is her whole aura, personality, her smile and her eyes. There are lots of "girl next door" girls in porn but women don't come off an assembly line (at least not yet) and they're all different. What makes Jenna (or Teagan if she's to your liking) different is what makes all the others different from one another. Now granted, I think, probably, some girls are "superstars" for no real reason. Considering there are some who are virtually unknown who are just as hot (or hotter). I don't really know why that is and I'm not sure it can be explained.
I mostly agree with you but I'm not sure I'd call what they do to those photos with Photoshop (or whatever they use) "enhancement". When it comes to retouching of photos, a little bit goes a really long way and as soon as you cross that line into too much, you've completely ruined the photo. The most common form of "enhancement" that you'll see is the softening and/or blur filters. And most of the time, they're not even needed. All they do is turn the performer's skin into a featureless desert and the whole photo into a blurry mess. They may hide fine lines and wrinkles if those really bother anyone but they really don't improve a photo unless they're used very conservatively.
