With the load of hardcore and erotica-driven or -laden comics it is astonishing that comics are not used as basis for hardcore movies. The late Guido Crepax has made some erotic and explicit graphic novels based on literature ("Venus in Furs", "Justine and Juliette", "Story of O", etc.) but also created a series based on a genuinely invented character, Valentina. Furthermore there are the works of Erich von Gotha, Duvet, Jack-Henri Hopper and others based on genuine ideas (see Lastgasp or here) and one must not to forget Milo Manara and the famous Druuna from Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri's "Morbus Gravis". Then there are more mainstream (for adult comic readers) orientated comics, which would do nice in a Susi Medusa Gottardi, Martin Cognito, reincarnation of Francis Leroi, Micheal Ninn'ish Hardcore. Give Susi Medusa Gottardi a big budget and let her explore Rapaces (French official site with great pics, outline of story in English). Also "Anna Stein" from Ronald Putzker has many scenes/pages, which would make it feasible as a porn. (a female journalist covering up an intrigue in politics and economics; erotic affairs of the main protagonists, use of prostitutes for blackmailing, etc.). Froideval's "666" (French site; fun/action/sex/devils vs. an unorthodox catholic priest saving the world) calls also for Gottardi or even Ninn, as does "Die Füchsin (French title???). (medieval times/inquisition/witches). A lighter side is addressed by the erotic horror comedy of the voluptuous vampire "Sandra Bodyshelly" (see also here) from Harm Bengen. Maybe all these comics are not to be made for the US-markets due to it's SM-overtones, forced sex scenes and often outright violent nature.
