I had a chance to use a computer with a filter on it. I think it was a Pharos filter or other, Im not sure. Out of curiousity I looked up some famous porn names on the Wikipedia website. What I discovered that all of the porn females were blocked. None of the porn males were blocked. Whats up with that kind of built in discrimination on the software?

Maybe a woman designed it. Someone was bound to say it.

You're going to have to enlighten me here. What the hell is a filter?

like they have at schools and places like that. an internet filter so people can't look at porn and people eating poop and stuff. kinda like a firewall so you can't access inappropriate stuff at school/work/etc. I think.

I think I know the answer to that one. The odds are that men are more likely to search the net for porn and unless you're located in West Hollywood or some other similar location, not too many guys will be checking out male performers very often.
Is there a resident IT person at the location? If so, maybe you can ask about what types of things are filtered and go from there.
P.S. As ChodeMasterJ alluded to, it's also possible that the person who set the filter could be a woman who has/had a problem with their BF or husband surfing the net for porn, and then decided to take it out on you and all the rest of us horny males!

I looked up Peter North on Wikipedia. There are three people named 'Peter North' on Wikipedia and the XXX guy even has the word 'pornographer' in parenthesis beside his name. I would think the filtering software would be designed to get 'the hint'.

This is definitely odd. I don't know much about search engines but I have no idea how a search filter would know whether you're looking for male or female porn stars.
