I have a blue screen that has come up twice on my computer, with words sating shutting down computer to protect. I called a few techs and they told me to get it fixed, it could be a virus, the hard drive problem.... It's nicknamed the blue screen of death, I got it twice. Iam putting the computer in the shop. Will any types of viruses or bad stuff get on porn that I burn to dvds right now before I bring it to the shop for repair?
Unlikely. If you burn video files to a DVD, there's no realistic way of some virus also getting burned onto the disc. You'd have to make sure apart from the video files no other files are there, and just in case, no file named "autorun.inf" is also there, which is basically the only way of getting some malicious software on the DVD to play when the DVD is inserted into the computer's DVD drive. There is a possibility of malicious software being embedded into the tagging information that can be inserted to video files, which would exploit errors in certain players. I highly doubt this is a realistic scenario, because the virus would have to actively insert that new tagging information to all video files in the hopes a vulnerable video player is used. Lastly, if you get the blue screen, to my experience most of the time it isn't a virus, but either faulty hardware (hard disk, RAM, sometimes even an overheated CPU or a insufficient power supply for the system) or outdated/faulty/misconfigured drivers for your hardware.
I'd recommend that you save any important files to an external hard drive or burn to DVD, before putting your computer in the shop. Depending on the repair shop and/or the nature of the problem, they may have to (or choose to) reformat your hard drive and freshly re-install the operating system, which means your your data/porn/personal files will be erased and gone forever.

I wish you had given us some basic information about your drive and OS. I'm willing to bet you really have nothing really wrong here, and will help you prove it IF you provide some basic information: What OS? How old is the system? How old is the hard drive and/or SSD? Do you run an ACTIVE virus/malware program? And, are it's definitions up-to-date? Do you keep Windows up-to-date? Are Flash, Adobe Reader and Java all up-to-date? In the meantime, copying your files to an external hard drive is always a good idea. Burning disks is an option, but will be far more time consuming -- and, if your computer does have issues, potentially cause more damage (e.g. because your running programs to burn disks). Also, if you still have "blue-screen-of-death" issues, you should be able to start the computer in Safe Mode to enable you to be able to copy off your files. There are MANY things you can do -- and fix yourself, if necessary, with our help -- without going through the hassle and expense of taking it to a repair shop.
