| stefank60 Member  Gold Trader on ADT 383 Posts 9/02 |  Posted - Aug 21 2003 : 1:51PMHi all OK before anyone comes back with copyright issues what I'm looking to do is copy from DVD's I already own to VHS - never mind WHY I would want to do it OK !! LOL Just kidding - looking to make compilations of fave bits from assorted DVD's. So can it be done ? I have 2 DVD players and 2 VCR's. Whenever I have tried just hooking up the equiptment and trying to copy it has not worked - I assume this is the protection kicking in. So questions are - is it the discs that prevent it from working - the DVD/VCR or combo's there of ? Of course the main question is - is there a way of overcoming the protections and copying from DVD to VCR. The gear I have is Panasonic and Pioneer DVD players and Panasonic and Sony VCR's (the sony is a very old one) Look forward to any replies. Thanks Stef
