Same thing sadly with Naughty America. When watching a lot of 80's and 90's movies on TV, they remaster them pefectly, and the HD seems like it could have been produced recently. Obviously, the budget for mainstream is so much more than porn. How expensive is the remaster technology that the movies use? Do you think a wealthier company like Brazzers could ever do something like this? Also, how many of you would love to see old scenes remastered? [Link] |

When you shoot on videotape or 8mm film, there's less of a frame to scan so the digital scanner doesn't scan in as high a resolution. |

When we're lucky, people have able to put their hands on prints that played in movie theatres, but they are usually in such bad shape (scratches, wear-and-tear) that restoration is required if you expect to get a decent result. Film restoration is expensive, especially for a small market like classic porn consumers, so this becomes cost-prohibitive. If only it was as simple as making a quality transfer.
