More and more are coming out on DVD (though not my top favourites yet). Personally, I think many of the women in 80s porn were very beautiful, but judging by comments on ADT, not everyone agrees. OK, the sets weren't the most elaborate, but the stories rarely called for that. And, IMHO, those stories were no worse than what you'll find today. It's a bit difficult for me to nail down your tastes, as I think Lauren Phoenix actually is a knock-out. If a bit loud. Anyway, if they've splashed on elaborate sets and a real story, isn't it natural for the producers/directors to want to cast the hottest performers? They are trying to sell a fantasy. If you want something from 2000 onwards, perhaps Phantom Love could work. It's got nice sets and a simple plot.
