Is it just me or is this sort of porn really disturbing? To me it panders to the closet paedos out there. Normally I'd turn a blind eye to wierd porn like Cuckold, where the guy watching obviously isn't the girl's partner, but dressing the girls up and having them act as prepubescent little kids as the main pull of the show is just worrying and really quite sick. Of course, this satire calling out the media hypocrisy and social hysteria regarding paedophiles was promptly pulled from the airwaves and the tabloids went wild calling the show this and that. Click to expand I agree that over here it's like 50's America and Communism, or the witch hunts of several hundred years ago. A bloke has to be very, very careful regarding children. I find it's best to ignore them, just in case some jerk gets the wrong idea. Some retards have even attacked paediatricians because they think they're baby lovers! However, that's different to making porn where the main fantasy is having sex with children. Something wrong there somewhere... And no, there's not a paedo epidemic here. It's all down to our rather crap media who are always pointing fingers. As a result the less savvy amongst us become paranoid and jump to conclusions all too easy. For example, I wouldn't become a teacher because of the scares the media put out and the rather gullible people who could take something like a pat on the head as having a sexual motive. Kids too have been known to be really quite ruthless and vindictive, threatening teachers that they'd falsely report them if they don't get their own way with something. Click to expand Good question. Back when I lived round the corner from a school I had someone confront me, tell me that they'd been watching me and noting how often I walked past the school gates. They asked me outright if a was a paedophile; as if I'd put up my hands and admit it if I was really looking to abduct a child. I know it's ridiculous, but I ended changing my route and walking around the block so that I wouldn't be seen near the school again. In the same small town the police were called because a paedophile was hanging around the park taking pictures of children. It turned out he was a single dad who'd recently moved in with his two kids. Not the best welcome to the local community... That kind of shit makes me far too paranoid to even consider a job working with children. Yet people wonder why it's so hard to find male primary school teachers. Here's a recent example of British paedo scaremongering: NIMBYs opposing the opening of a nursery because they fear it could attract paedophiles. The Brass Eye Special is definitely worth watching. He is very well known for this type of thing and I don't recall him having to go into hiding. He was always somewhat of a recluse, long before that particular show was broadcast. As for pulling the show from the airwaves, in fact this did not happen. Despite a typically hysterical reaction from the UK tabloids, and even complaints voiced in parliament the day following the broadcast (from people who, of course, had not seen the programme), Channel 4 went ahead and broadcast a scheduled repeat of the show. Happily - for those of us that got the joke rather than the 1,500 complainers - it was subsequently nominated for a BAFTA award. Unfortunately the British tabloids are given to hysterical outbursts on pretty much everything. It's a good thing that the serious press take a more rational and balanced view of things, and that people like Chris Morris are free to challenge and spoof the hypocritical hysteria without fear of censorship. They must have aired it again, unless I'm completely mistaken. As for going into hiding, the news report I read at the time was that while the furor was going on he took an extended trip to Majorca. Maybe that was yet more hysteria or a fake press release from him. Aside from Brasseye, Nathan Barley was always my favourite, and has the honour of being C4's lowest rated Friday night show ever (at the time - don't know if that's changed). Pretty impressive. Some of them border on just being disturbing as well: there's one skit about a child being kidnapped and murdered and the 'joke' is that the parents don't care and discuss it with disinterest.
