As we all know, many porn performers have several names, variations on the same name, etc. In some cases, this is by design; in other cases, it's caused by misspellings by the people who shoot the film credits and make the box-covers.
Yesterday, for instance, I used the ADT Price Search to dig up titles that feature a newer performer, Leigh Livingston. She's also known as Leah Livingston. When I type in "Livingston", I get the choices of "Derek", "Leah", "Leigh" or "Rachel".
Harmony or Harmony Rose, who's been around awhile, is a better example. She seems to go by the two names interchangeably. When I type in "Harmony", I get a large number of choices; when I type in "Rose", it's a huge number.
I guess my question is, have you thought of modifying the Price Search's data base to pull in performers' a/k/a's? What if people brought perfomers' alternate names to your attention? Or would that just be way too big a pain in the ass?
I confess (and have probably just demonstrated) complete ignorance about the workings of search engines and databases.
