Hi, i am looking for a new monitor for my PC, actually i have a standart 15" CRT 0.28 and working in 80 hex 600 resolution. I use my PC for view porn DVD movies in DVD or porn movies-clips in DivX Xvid files, i am considering to buy a new monitor but i do not know if a TFT monitor is good for my hobby(ghosting, resolution) , the option are the Samsung 710N TFT and the Samsung 793MB CRT, i know that in CRT monitor the image quality is the best, but a space save TFT monitor is good, what are the best monitor to wath DVDs (PC) for this forum users? i am looking for the best image posible.

the lcd's are best for pictures, the problem they have with video is response time. in motion scenes you'll see more artifacts. if this is for a bedroom you might want to look at an lcd tv with a response time lower than 15ms, especially if you have a dvi out video card. otherwise if you have the desktop space staples always has a flat screen 19" envision crt with a .024 dot pitch onsale. here's where I find the best deals. good luck.

FWEIW, I much prefer the video picture quality on a CRT monitor.

I have had the experience of watching the identical scenes on my 17" CRT at home and the 17" LCD at work, on the same day, and the CRT is a far better image.
Cleaner... Clearer... Better skin tones... Better motion.

I'd buy a 19" CRT of decent quality.
Decent "$200-250" monitors are frequently on sale in the "$100-140" range at major big-box outlets like Circuit City and Best Buy at least twice a month. Keep your eye on the weekly circulars in the Sunday paper.
