| Cumwhipper Senior Member 4050 Posts 3/04 | Okay - I've driven my current player into the ground! It's starting to not even play some discs - most disappointingly, the new "Feeding Frenzy #8", which plays just fine on my PC's DVD drive. My current player is a Zenith DVB216 - It's got progressive scan (probably de rigeur on all players these days), frame-by-frame, zoom, A-B repeat, and most importantly, a shuttle ring on the remote, which allows for playback at variable speed - from frame-by-frame all the way through 1/2 speed. I'd like all the same features if possible. Maybe even a region-free player. Not really interested in a Blue Ray player, unless it's backward compatible with today's standard DVDs Any suggestions of players that meet all my needs and will play almost anything? Thanks! | Cumwhipper Senior Member 4050 Posts 3/04 | After reading many very positive reviews, I went ahead and ordered the OPPO DV-970HD Universal DVD Player Should get here in a few days. No shuttle/jog on the remote, but basically everything else I need, and several reviews talk about the crisp, clear picture - sounds like a pornhound's dream. I'll post back with a review after I have a chance to road test it. I really just want to be able to watch "Throat Gaggers #10" all the way through without freezing and skipping - particularly the Kaci Starr scene (probably the hottest in the movie). |

Good news: Not so good news: Bottom line - I have to get used to a few differences. For some scenes. I might have to hook my Zenith back up, just so I can use the shuttle ring. It will be fun re-watching some favorite scenes with the new clearer picture. Almost like rediscovering some of them. |

I must tell you, watching Throat Gaggers and being able to discern every tear that flows down each girl's face, and seeing tiny droplets of spittle that have landed on the camera lens is a revelation. I'll have to watch the Kylee King scene from "Gag Factor #20" today. I can't imagine that scene being any better than I remember it, but who knows? |
