Not so much. I've seen it a few times, and it is no fun, but to get it a lot or all the time must suck. I recommend a sneak attack. Don't approach them with eye contact or any other body language that gives warning. Just pull a sharp left turn or whatever when you're right next to them and that way you can get a sentence or two out before they know what's happened. People THINK they know what they want/like, but frequently makes choices reflecting the opposite. You gotta be able to talk to sell yourself in some cases, so figure a way to control things a bit more.
